Race 1
Fabian Habib
No 11 Out Of Your League - He's looking for this trip and could possibly
run into the placings
Heather Adamson
No 2 Turf Master - He was narrowly beaten in his last run over the course
and distance and he should run another honest race

Race 2
Gary Alexander
No 1 Robusto - Will need the run
Paul Peter
No 7 Exion - Will need the run
Mike Azzie
No 10 Numerical - Looking for an improved run over the extra distance
Chris Jonker
No 2 Racing Man - He's drawn a bit deep again but he is better than his
last run and if he can have some luck in running, i'm expecting a better
run.
Candice Dawson
No 12 Psycho King - Hoping for an improved run

Race 3
Chris Jonker
No 2 Right Round - Will need the run
Paul Peter
No 5 Empress Josephine - Shows pace
Ashley Fortune
No 6 Footstepsintherain - Will need the experience
No 9 Paschals Samore - She's a nice filly but has a terrible draw to
overcome
No 10 Single Red Rose - Should run a big race if she can get in from her
wide draw
Mike Azzie
No 11 Spectral - Nice filly, may need the run

Race 4
Mike/Matthew De Kock
No 1 Mrs Simpson - Will need the run
No 6 Gin Fizz - Not 100% fit but should be competitive

Race 5
Grant Maroun
No 2 Double' O' Eight - Holding form well , good each way chance

Race 6
Barend Botes
No 1 Strikeitlikeamatch - He may find this 1000 meters a bit sharp for him
but should be finishing strongly if the pace is a good one
Roy Magner
No 5 Royal Cavalier - I have taken the blinkers off him and i'm hoping for
a better effort
Grant Maroun
No 7 Queen Of War - Good each way chance

Race 7
Mike Azzie
No 7 Bohica - He was in need of his last run and will improve
Gerald Walker
No 8 Crimson God - Returns to racing after having his vaccinations. He's a
nice sort and will do better over a longer trip

Race 8
Ashley Fortune
No 3 Etched In Blue - Will be trying the blinkers and if he can see out the
trip, should be competitive
Roy Magner
No 5 Sweet Trial - He's nicely drawn and should be thereabouts at the finish
Heather Adamson
No 8 Monty Python - Can be unpredictable but if he decides to put it in on
the day, he does have a quartet chance

Race 9
Chris Jonker
No 2 Ficticious - Is in a competitive field but if she manages to relax
early on and can see out the 1400 meters, she is in with a chance
Gerald Walker
No 10 Picatrix - Has her first run out of maiden company. She would prefer
further but i'm hoping for a good run.
Fabian Habib
No 4 Now You See Me - Returns from a rest and should need this run

Not the easiest card on this holiday (in SA) - thoughts:

R2: Shadow Creek has seemingly found the right field and if any good should prove too good for these; Whiskytangofoxtrot (what a name B)) has found steady support in the market and may be the one to challenge the favorite

R3: Another Tarry debutante is finding all the support and taking into account the scintillating win of Sidonie on the weekend, he probably has a good line on his unraced runners - so should also prove hard to beat; Varnica disappointed in her second start, but tries blinkers today and from pole position could prove the main danger; Hot Gossip from an in-form stable is also finding some support in the market, so who knows, while Single Red Rose may improve over the extra 200, but of course needs to overcome a wide draw, so probably a place chance at best

R4: Grad Plate for the girls, where any of 4 could win imo; Comaneci has been disappointing, but imo is at best over this sort of trip and will challenge again; not much between her and Captain's Reward on their last meeting, so both to be considered; Gin Fizz has had a big reputation since her maiden win, but has not really justified that, and could just need the run; while Gaian Glory imo is better than rated, but may prefer 1400 and up

R5: Not sure what happened to the appies DIcken and Syster, but one of the challenges on today's card for me is that appie Gumede has not yet shown that he is close to those 2 in ability; so although Sarah is definitely the right one at the weights and on form, I am in doubt about the guy on top; Royal Lily has very good juvenile form and even with Gumede claiming 4 kgs, RL is still receiving 3 kgs from Sarah - which make RL very much the value imo; Ouro not to be ignored either, while Double O' Eight may find the track a bit sharp, but should be in the money as well

R6: Open handicap, where none could be completely ignored; at the odds, I think the value is Queen of War, but not easy at all

R7: Very tough race imo, where all of them have some sort of chance; my top three in no particular order, would be Arapaho, Hidden Agenda and Bohica

R8: Pelican Bay does stand out a bit, but if he fluffs his lines, it becomes a bit of a minefield again; my guess is that Sweet Trial and Miss Khalifa will prove competitive

R9: Another tough race to close imo; Colour of Light is showing some signs of life recently, and needs to be considered along with Fictitious (distance ?) , Swept of my Feet (can NEVER ignore any Peter runner recently) and recent maiden winner Initiator; a roughie to be considered is Sally Called who is still steadily dropping in the ratings and is going to surprise one of these days

Enjoy B)

Indeed. I suppose when your stable mate is out in front, there's no need to be fully awake... Callan should have won this race. Look at Luke's animation at the 400m vs Callan. Chalk and Cheese!

Again, well done Luke!

Yip very good ride and the owners should be over the moon with the effort - badly misjudged by Callan - was waiting for the pace maker to come back to him and it never happened - Sh*t happens
