Maintainenance of Tracks
5 years 9 months ago
There are complaints from every centre regarding the quality of the racing
surfaces
There can be a case made for overuse as courses have been shut down everywhere
with the exception of Cape Town
But meetings have had to be moved recently from Durbanville to Kenilworth
There is a Meeting scheduled for next Tuesday at the country course but I have heard
while the previous was the rain a new problem is that the grass has a fungus
which could cause more meeting to be moved

I have no sympathy for the operators. They are reaping what they have sown.

Of course - in these scenarios it's only the operators that suffer. I was under the impression that owners, trainers and punters are the ones who are prejudiced .... what was I thinking ?
Elmer - love your rendition of ' maintenance '

Of course in these scenarios only the operators are responsible for the maintenance of the tracks. The owners have bought, the trainers have prepared and entered, the punters have punted.
Who would you like me to have no sympathy for?

Is there enough money for water to at least water the tracks?
