Freedom of Speach and Expression.

So it looks as though another thread deleted!! Let me hazard a guess ... two adults using bad language and who clearly dont agree with one another. Whilst the bad language is probably unacceptable I cant believe you remove the thread. You have an open forum let people say what they feel . You may have to administer the forum but censorship is not on. No single person should have the right to decide what the rest of the people should say or what they should read. That is from days gone by and is not on. Of course just my opinion.

My opinion is that if a person is going to be derogatory/contentious about anyone or anything, they must post under their names and not a pseudonym. Dont be a coward and hide behind a pseudonym. Might make people think before posting nasty, unsubstantiated rubbish. I didn't see the post that was deleted but IMHO this is the biggest problem on the otherwise great forum that is ABC.

I believe this thread should be deleted as bad spelling in the header does not add to the racing experience. I reckon Grammarly should be compulsory for Clanners...

Am I glad I got that off my chest !!!

I'm glad you feel better now Magi and I apologize for the finger trouble with SPEECH!! . I hope you had a better day on the bowling green but try leave the baseball bat in the cupboard. We are not always perfect when typing on a phone. Muhti the language didnt offend me in the slightest. We are all adults . And Bob if you want rules then make them and stick to them rather than being the judge and jury for all the rest of us when you feel it's right. No wonder so many dont bother posting anymore. Shit let me just go over the spelling again before I submit!!

Miss T not sure who you are or what you do for a living?
I can assure you that Bob and myself have to make calls on what is right or wrong on a 24/7 open forum.
We might get some right and some wrong and we dont have filters where comments are withheld and screened before posting.
Its been a 12 year journey and many ups and downs and numerous calls and emails that you have no exposure to.
However thanks for your inputs noted !

Well thanks Dave and I appreciate what you say about the behind the scenes goings on of running an open forum. I'm not sure however about the "who I am "or "what I do "bit that you question has to do with anything. All I'm saying is set the rules or standards that you require whatever they may be including using names if you think it will change anything. And at least be consistent. As it happens we have met a few times but to be honest it has nothing to do with this at all. Whether I agree with you or not is not important I respect your point of view . Was just giving an honest opinion. So be it.
