Sir Dragonet English or French?

Breaking news is that he might go for French Derby?
Would be very disappointing for this punter as i took a nice early ante post on English and fairly confident it will win either

Have to wait for 27th for call but do have a decent bet on Anthony Van Dyck as back up .........

Fingers crossed

Aidan O’Brien has announced Sir Dragonet will be supplemented for the Investec Derby on Monday.

An impressive winner of the Chester Vase on just his second start, Sir Dragonet is the general 3-1 favourite for Saturday’s Epsom Classic, despite the fact he is not currently entered.

However, O’Brien reports that owners John Magnier, Michael Tabor and Derrick Smith have agreed to stump up the £85,000 to add the Camelot colt to the Derby field at Monday’s confirmation stage.

The Ballydoyle handler said: “The lads have agreed that they are going to supplement Sir Dragonet on Monday.

“That’s one stage over and they can then make their minds up whether he runs.”

I thought that Phoenix Of Spain (Saturday’s Irish 2000 Guineas winners) looks a superb animal.

Telecaster who was beaten on debut by Bangkok has also been supplemented. Telecaster was withdrawn in March 2019

Siyarafina who won a Grade 1 on the weekend and is unbeaten over three starts. She made her debut in April 2019. She is owned by Aga Khan, owners of Zarkava. The 3yo fillies get alot of weight in the Arc. Could she be a factor ?

A largely dry week with temperatures rising to 26C on Saturday means connections of Investec Derby hopefuls who would like any ease in the ground are likely to be denied their wish.

Charlie Appleby left Line Of Duty, who he believes would benefit from any available moisture, in both the Epsom Classic and Sunday's Qipco Prix du Jockey Club at Chantilly, although France also looks likely to miss any appreciable rainfall.

Connections of ante-post favourite Sir Dragonet, who coped well with testing conditions at Chester, insist he does not need soft going.
