FIFA to introduce handicapping to football using lead weighted ankle bracelets!
6 years 2 months ago - 6 years 2 months agoOk.. so maybe not. Well what about boxers, and athletes.. shall we do the weight penalty thing and get them all equal.. level out the playing fields? Let’s get back to horse racing and look at a few more niggling questions..
1. Who benefits from handicapping (in the form of weight penalties).. and how/why?
2. <i> What is the goal of the handicappers, and <ii> how is this goal compatible with the best interests of the racing industry, as well and the role-players independently and collectively?
3. <i> Can the MR system work without handicapping, <ii> what effect will it have on race outcomes, <iii> will it be detrimental, or beneficial.. <iv> and to who? and <v> what would the alternatives for setting race conditions be?
The common denominator across modern day sports is “He who wins progresses” but in horse racing a different approach is taken. Think about it and post your comments..

You could have 3 runner claimers or loads of pinnacles were only 2 horses can win
