"Group" RESULTS - 'Evening Session' Tuesday 22 July Workings.
16 years 10 months ago
Evening.
This evening completed and went as follows:
The 1st runner we wanted 3.45 and with being around 3.5 on arrival and then dropping down to us and beyond, we had a lay at 3.45 max. The price then drifted out to our own price of 3.75 and beyond, so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade was beaten and so a good result......
The 2nd runner we wanted 3.5, and with being 3.3 and shortening on arrival, we had a lay at 3.3 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result..........
The 3rd runner we wanted 1.5, and with being around 1.66 on arrival and not coming down to our lay price at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won, so a good leave.......
The 4th runner we wanted 1.6, and with being around 1.64 on arrival and then dropping down to us and beyond under good support, we had a lay at 1.6 max. The lay went and won, so the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it.......
The 5th runner we wanted 2.1, and with being around 1.93 on arrival and shortening, we had a lay at 1.93 max. The lay went and won, so the way it goes.......
The 6th runner we wanted 1.4 and with being around 1.51 on arrival and only getting bigger, we never see our lay price at any stage, so all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won, so a good leave............
WELL BATTLED............(6 from the 8 (75%) went and won, so desperately tough out there this evening, but we dug deep and limited things very well indeed)
'Rolling' strategy/target (no 'free' lays for them) conceded 1.5 targets.....They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner and hit their targets on their 2nd lay (the 2nd runner)..........They then started their 2nd strategy/target on the 4th runner, but after a very tough battle they ended up conceding 2.5 targets after their 3rd and final lay (the 7th runner), and so ended the session conceding 1.5 targets.....
'Bank building' strategy/target players started with a 'free' lay (the 1st runner) that bought a tiny profit...........They then had their 1st lay (the 2nd runner) at 3.3 and a good result see them win a chunk of their targets.........Then came their 2nd lay (the 4th runner) at 1.6 max, but a poor result see them give a little back..........Then came their 3rd lay (the 5th runner) at 1.93, but a poor result see them go a bit behind........They then had a 'free' lay (the 8th runner) that only bought relief..........That's where they ended it and after a mass of winners they end with a wry smile conceding just 0.4 - 0.75 of a target........
Bank builder 4 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100

Overall result. Concede 0.4 of a target.

'Traders' had to concede a little on the 5th runner at 1.93 max, but all others see them win a bit, or break level, so they had to concede a bit, but with all those winners they'll take it and return in the morning..
So a very tough session with 75% winners and made impossible to make anything to be honest. We conceded a little, but looking back we'll take it as a good battle and see what tomorrow brings. Speak in the morning.
Marc.

Our price 14/5 (3.
and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.5 or under.

All the race were priced up, with non runners taken into account, up until 16.11pm.
That's our work for this evening then. Not easy, especially with a few looking very solid, but overall we have enough about us to warrant going in, so discipline to the maximum and take advantage of any prices that come our way. Good luck and speak soon.
