Race 1: Jacqueline has useful form and is the one to beat. River Rhone returns from a break but if fit should be right there. Princess Penelope is better than her last run and should be in the shakeup. Wallis Simpson fair debut and should improve on that. Some support for first timers makes this a tricky race.
Race 2: Silva’s Bullet should win this with Provocateur second and Deepston third.
Race 3: V Marshall has a strong hand, with a preference for All in Line. Marauding good debut and with normal improvement could win this. Caprera good form and should be in the money. Again a couple of first timers to consider.
Race 4: G Kotzen’s pair should fight this out with a preference for Boundless Deep over Sommersonne. Anina next best.
Race 5: Very open race. Rockin Ringo could be anything and is my first choice.
Race 6: We have Helen’s Ideal running. While this is quite a strong handicap and she has to carry a hefty weight, I think that she is good enough to win. Trying blinkers which will keep her mind on the job. Despite the betting, I think that Perfect Air is her biggest danger.
Race 7: Bold Respect is my first choice from Sgt Hardy and Kasimir, although an upset is possible.
Race 8: Twin Falls was disappointing last time returning from a break and vaccinations. She should run an improved race here. Princess Vicky has also disappointed recently but if she brings her homework to the course could surprise. Very open race where Expedite, Evelina and Spam Alert have consistent form.
Race 9: Another open race. Spring Burst did not beat much last time but improved with the blinkers and with the claimer could win again. Many others with chances.

I remember not too long ago that when Drier brought his horses to the Cape you knew they where good.
Remember the Norwegian flag colours?
Don't see them around anymore.

Surprisingly he has a 24% strike rate with favorites which isn't that bad.
Jockeys to be careful with when riding favorites are...
Zechner 13%
Shadley Fortune 13%
Calvin Habib 9%
Herrera Gomez also 13% but he has ridden less than ten favorites.
The best with favorites are...
Storey 45%
Lerena 39%
Fourie 38%
Veale 37%
Khumalo and Marcus 36%
