SCOTIA ON MONDAY 21st JULY.

Good morning to the CLAN and what a wonderful performance from J.J. the Jet plane.
Its great to have a true champ on our shores and I am sure we all wish JJ and his connections all the best for the future, I am sure we can make some serious money when he takes on the best.
The weekend was also good for me, but did not find many winners, but the social life carries on regardless.
I must mention, I went to a restaurant with a difference, a nice welcome. menu reasonable price, but the difference was the vibe. We had the staff and owner clapping hands and dancing, a live band with good music, plus a chap standing on a chair and proposing to a lady upstairs. He had the gold thread put through her hands pulled it from her to him and asked "will you marry me"? the entire restaurant was at a standstill, people on chairs and a dead silence, she said "yes" and the place erupted!
Not bad for a "Sunday lunch" from 12.00 to 15.45, had to get home for J.J. the place is called BRAZA'S in the Irene centre, well worth a visit.
Have tickets for the Mau.Unt match on Sunday night, does anyone have a XXL shirt for me?
As far as racing I like to keep Mondays a day of rest, but I am sure the readers of the Forum, will be aware that in addition to my bet on Zarkava for the ARC, I have had a little peck on Jay Peg 4995/5, so if it can pitch up, I will be more nervous than the jockey.
The Ebor meeting is at York this month and hope to see War Artist and National Colour in the Nunthorpe.
Mrs S started us on another diet this week, so hope for the best, I finished all the alcohol in the house yesterday and have promised not to enter a bottle store to Friday, so its going to be a long hard week. With a bit luck, will be looking for an XL shirt rather than the XXL.
Good punting!

The diet does not last for over a week, I am trying Friday at 17.00 as the best case situation.
