"Group" RESULTS - 'Afternoon Session' Saturday 19 July Workings.

Afternoon.
This afternoon completed and went as follows:
The 1st runner we wanted 2.4, and with being around 2.66 on arrival, getting bigger, and then tumbling down to us and slightly beyond under good late support, we had a lay at 2.4 max. The lay had to work hard, but got the win and so the late money correct and the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it.....
The 2nd runner we wanted 2.6, and with drifting to around 2.76 on arrival and not coming back down to us, race to race players had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten and so the drift beat race to racers to the punch. Grr! early traders happy though........
The 3rd runner we wanted 1.8, and with being around 1.86 on arrival and then dropping down to us and beyond under good late support, we had a lay at 1.8 max. The lay had to work hard, but got the win and the way it goes. Traders again got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it.......
The 4th runner we wanted 2.2, and with drifting to around 2.36 on arrival and only getting bigger, race to racers had to avoid another race. The runner was beaten and so another drift beats race to racers to the punch. Grr. Early traders happy again though.......
The 5th runner we wanted 3.0, and with drifting to around 3.25 on arrival and only getting bigger, it was yet another race that race to racers had to avoid. The runner was beaten (after trouble in running), so yet another drifter beats race to racers to the punch. Grr. Early traders yet again happy...........
The 6th runner was a non runner, so on to the next runner....
The 7th runner we wanted 2.2 and with being around 2.18 and slightly shorter on arrival, we had a lay at 2.18 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result.......
The 8th runner we wanted 2.4, and with being around 2.56 on arrival and then dropping down to us and slightly beyond, we had a lay at 2.4 max. The lay was beaten after a close photo finish, so a good result........
The 9th and final runner we wanted 3.3, but a non runner and 15.4% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.95. The price was around 2.84 on arrival, so we had a lay at around 2.84. The race is around 40 mins away and all strategy play is completed. So I'm leaving it there guys. Good luck if trading this runner........
WELL PLAYED/BATTLED....................(2 from the first 3 (66.66%) went and won - So a tough start, but it was all those drifters that made it hard work. However, all battled well, so well played/battled)
'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) finished Level...........They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner, but after after a battle against winners and mainly drifters, they ended up level after their 4th lay (the 8th runner) and so with levels and only one potential lay left, it's always policy to take the levels with now no room at all for error....
'Bank building' strategy/target players had their 1st lay (the 1st runner) at 2.4 max, but a poor result see them go behind early...........They then had their 2nd lay (the 3rd runner) at 1.8 max, but another poor result see them go further behind.........Then came their 3rd lay (the 7th runner) at 2.18 max, and a good result see them win a chunk back............Then came their 4th lay (the 8th runner) at 2.4 max, and a good result see builders finish levels.....
Bank builder 4 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100
1st lay £100 to win as much of the £100 target @ 2.4 max. Result negative. Lose £100
Total bank now £300
2nd lay £100 to recoup the £100 @ 1.8 max. Result negative. Lose £80
Total bank now £220
3rd lay £110 to recoup as much of the £180 @ 2.18 max. Result positive. Win £93
Total bank now £313
4th lay £313 to recoup the £87 @ 2.4 max. Result positive. Win £87
Total bank now £400
Overall result. Target hit.
****************************************
Bank builder 5 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100
1st lay £80 to win as much of the £100 target @ 2.4 max. Result negative. Lose £80
Total bank now £320
2nd lay £80 to recoup the £80 @ 1.8 max. Result negative. Lose £64
Total bank now £256
3rd lay £85 to recoup as much of the £144 @ 2.18 max. Result positive. Win £72
Total bank now £328
4th lay £164 to recoup the £72 @ 2.4 max. Result positive. Win £72
Total bank now £400
So with being levels and now no room at all for any error with just one potential lay left, they walk away levels.
Overall result. Level

'Traders' either won, or broke level on all their trades, so well played guys..
So a tough session with that awkward start, but it was all those drifters that made it so hard for race to race players. However, no damage done and we walk away levels at the very worst. Have a good evening if you play, but I'm off out and will speak again in the morning..
Marc.
