Roaring Lion suffered an early bump and never looked happy getting slapped with shovel-loads of sand. He eventually trailed home a long last, and will now likely be retired to stud.

Was always going to be having his final bow in this race. Was well publicised before. In fact, his stallion poster was already up at Ascot on Champions Day (QIPCO / Qatar Racing sponsored) so everyone knew. Same with Lightning Spear, also owner by Qatar Racing / Sheik Fahad.
The horse came out of Ascot in good form, despite what some have said has been a busy/tough season and connections chose to go for the Breeders Cup (to add further to stallion prospects if the horse acted on dirt maybe?) who knows But fair play to them. They acted on the trainer's advice that the horse was still fine after his season although it was also well publicised that Gosden was hesitant about the horse acting on dirt.
Horse hated the sand. If they'd never tried they would never have known. That's racing.
The SA thinking is slightly warped in that horses should only run x number of times a season and thats it. At least that is the perception. If the horse is fit, well and healthy then what's wrong with running it regularly?
Last week, Haggas had a filly win on the all-weather, she then went and won again THE VERY NEXT DAY in a listed race and she's subsequently been entered into the upcoming Mare Sale at Tattersalls. Some call that being shrewd.
Side note. Some genius from Gosden this season having cleaned up in a number of the big ones despite having to juggle the fact that his stable stars would all have had to bump one another at some stage. He's managed to keep everyone happy and clean up.

......always this same problem....the tote system cannot fathom any calculations for any meeting that falls into the next day.... that last race was run today and they have not as yet come in to manually adjusted the payouts for the last race or P6 dividends......

Ok txs Muhti
I just could not grasp the concept where the punters are encouraged to play into a bonanza pool and i actually did it and won?
I had various bets as you are aware on Enable and a double with the winner of Breeders cup and also noticed my pick 6 arrived
So how does an open bet operator pay me around midnight???
Where do they get payouts before the tote punter?

Oh to answer your question Tabgold have all the tote dividends
Pick 6 6-11
1st : 6
2nd : 9
3rd : 7
4th : 11
5th : 2
6th : 14,15,16
Dividend = R 30.90
......something wrong with the dividends though.....could be that they need to be multiplied by the exchange rate.....
If not that is a piss poor dividend considering the amount one had to fork out for a straight line
No bonanza or extravaganza here I'm afraid......
