Botha Ends With A Flourish

The 41 year old Piet Botha, who made a comeback to the saddle in April 2017 after a five year injury enforced absence, rode his last winner as a professional jockey at Kenilworth on Saturday.




Botha rode a well-judged race to get Jay Rock home for Glen Puller to win the last, in what is his last ride – barring any future comebacks, that is!

He takes out his trainer’s licence from Wednesday 1 August and will be based at Milnerton.

Hes basically been running it for a while now

No he's not taking the puller stable over he's got around 10 horses and has shears available if any one is interested in box me he is a really good man and honest you will not be disappointed in Piet.

I don't think he is ever been assistant to anyone!
