"Group" RESULTS - 'Evening Session' Friday 11 July Workings.
16 years 10 months ago
Evening.
This evening completed and went as follows:
The 1st runner we wanted 3.3 and with getting around 3.05 on arrival, we had a lay at around 3.05. The price then went for a big walk as if a leg had fallen off, out to our own price of 3.6 and beyond, so a chance for a 'free' lay for builders and traders. The lay/trade was beaten, so the drift justified and a good result.....
The 2nd runner we wanted 3.0 and with being around 3.25 on arrival and then dropping down to us and slightly beyond, we had a lay at 3.0 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result.....
The 3rd runner we wanted 2.5 and with drifting to around 2.9 on arrival and although dropping back down, the price still never came down to our lay price, so race to race players had to avoid the race. The runner went and won, so glad of the drift now and a good leave........
The 4th runner we wanted 2.32 and with being around 2.22 and slightly shorter on arrival, we had a lay at 2.22 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result.......
The 5th runner we wanted 2.7 and with being around 3.05 on arrival and then dropping down to us, we had a lay at 2.7. The lay was beaten and so a good result........
The 6th runner we wanted 2.6 and with being around 2.52 on arrival and shortening, we had a lay at around 2.52 max. The price then drifted out to our own price of 2.9 and beyond, so a chance for traders (builders hit and finished) to have a 'free' lay before the race. The lay/trade went and won, so the way it goes. Glad of the drift now though and traders no harm.........
The 7th runner we wanted 2.9 and with being around 3.2 on arrival and not dropping down to us, we all had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten and so 'one that got away in hindsight'........
The 8th runner we wanted 1.8 and with being around 1.96 on arrival and then dropping down to us right near the off, we had a lay at the rock bottom of the market and 1.8. The lay went and won a battling finish, so fair play and the way it goes. Traders did get their trade back prices in running, so got away with it....
The 9th runner we wanted 2.5 and with being around 3.0 on arrival and then dropping down to us, we had a lay at the rock bottom of the market and 2.5. The lay was beaten and so a good result.....
The 10th runner we wanted 3.5 and with being that on arrival, we had a lay at 3.5. The price then went for a big walk out to our own price of 3.8 and beyond, so a chance for traders (builders hit and finished) to have a 'free' lay before the race. The lay/trade was beaten and so a good result.......
The 11th runner we wanted 3.2 and with drifting to around 4.7 on arrival, getting bigger and bigger as if a win was out of the question, and not coming back down to us at any stage, race to race players had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten, so the drift justified and beat race to racers to the punch. Grr! early traders happy though........
The 12th runner we wanted 3.2 and with being around 2.84 and shortening on arrival, we had a lay at 2.84 max. The price then took a turn and drifted right back out to our own price of 3.5 and beyond, so a chance for traders (builders hit and finished) to get in again and have another 'free' lay before the race. The lay/trade was beaten and so a good result.......
The 13th and final runner we wanted 2.1 and with being around 3.25 on arrival and not coming down anywhere near our lay price at any stage, we all had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten, so the drift justified and 'one that got away in hindsight'.....
WELL PLAYED..................(3 from the first 8 (37.5%) went and won - so not exactly a simple task early, but we dealt with it all well and easily got the money)
'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) won 2 targets...........They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner and then hit their targets on their 2nd lay (the 2nd runner).........They then started their 2nd strategy/target on the 4th runner and hit their targets on their 2nd lay (the 5th runner).........They then started their 3rd strategy/target on the 6th runner and after a battle they went to their 5th lay (the 12th runner) to recoup a little bit, and did! So they finish levels on this strategy and win 2 targets on the session...
'Bank building' strategy/target players started with a 'free' lay (the 1st runner) that bought a tiny profit.........They then had their 1st lay (the 1st runner) at 3.0 max and a good result see them win a chunk towards their targets.......They then had their 2nd lay (the 4th runner) at 2.22 and a good result see them hit their targets...

'Traders' either won, or broke level on all their trades and so they played a blinder and well done guys..
So builders avoided the early winner and got their wages with ease, so good play guys. Rollers made a couple before a big battle to draw level brought them back down to earth, but 2 targets won is a good result. Speak in the morning.
Marc.
