STOP HATING!
Bottom line sheldon has a job to do and he does it very well.
Yes he shouts home wat he punts or tips on uso
But thats the game don't we all shout ,get excited when the ponies enter the home straight?
Its for the love of the game.
Dont knock someone down who's passionate about the game because ur a sour punt with a "k".
ANYWAY SHELDON PETERS SIR P LOVES THE JOB YOU DO GOD BLESS U BROTHER!

Agree with you Sir P....we are not a colony of the UK...why should we always compare ourselves with the way things are done in the UK. Sheldon has his own unique character. Either you like him or not. I think he has more fans than otherwise. Some old toppies here should take a break from the game!

I know it was another Era but POS was my hero.
Met him once at Sandown and ran back to my car and he autographed my copy of "Calling the Horse" which was in the boot, along with a pile of books,

Honest question... Isn't it a sign of a good caller when he can see the one travelling best in the home straight? (Yes, more often than not, it's favourite) Might not necessarily be on it but can see and get excited how it's moving? I have seen races where horses are doing some low level flying, but not picked up until they hit the lead. Personally, I don't see the uproar....

Hi all was on course with a few people that know bare minimum about racing for me watching them as Sheldon called not only tht race it seemed to create more positive reaction and getting them more involved. I think for the purest and serious punters there opinion may vary but I'm just calling it as I saw it.

Lets try explain this in simple english ..most are not having a go at his actual commentary but rather his AFTER RACE COMMENTS whereby he carries on and on what a good thing the winner was and he hasnt got any sympathy for those punters and or owners who didnt punt or own the winner ...

Let me add further i have seen sheldon at the races since before he called his first race and i like him a lot a well mannered guy and very knowledgable ..5 years ago when i did some work with tellytrack i recommended that he and deez should be both employed on a full time basis at tellytrack as they along with alistair cohen are the future of racing and that all the dead wood that exists at tellytrack that could fill up half of the knysna forests should be given their marching orders ..unfortunately its harder to get out of tellytrack than into tellytrack as its been captured and the remains are still there today

Sheldon is top class.Give Philip Saremboek i think thats his name more time he has the ability.Only thing when i listen on the phone i think my horse is winning by 5 l and it does not even run a place. All 10 horses in the race are coming home strongly.

We all have opinions, which is what makes Racing so interesting. I just love Sheldon's enthusiasm for Racing and the efforts that he puts in. This youngster lives for the game.

We need more of him and Deez and Alistor.

Some of the others have well passed their sell by date and if WE find them boring and monotonous, imagine how dreary racing looks to newcomers....

.....yeah but one does not need to have one's nose rubbed in a winner that the whole of TT were in on but never mentioned to the viewership....I like Sheldon's enthusiasm and his calls....I take heed to his fancies too(he knows his subject better than any tipster commentator that TT has....but sometimes the viewer or listener is cut from that feed and the information is not heard or delivered..... :S

Sheldon dont know then diff between 2 lenghts and 5 lenghts, he is bullshitting those of us phoning for commentry ... so and so is leading by 7.... the replay shows 9 out of 10 times the horse is going on about is only about 3 lengths clear and fading..

Sheldon wìll make a race between snails sounds exiting....
