Punter scoops the pot

Punter ‘Mighty High’ after massive pick six win
One lucky punter became an instant multi-millionaire on Saturday as his pick six ticket returned a cool R3,398,460.
MAY 26, 2018
The fortunate fellow took a full Pick 6 Perm for R2800 at Betting World Emperors Palace. The perm was structured Field x 9 (Mighty High) x Field x Field x 6 (Bold Respect) x 1 (Waywood).
Three bankers and three fields later and he was in line for a life changing sum. Indeed he didn’t even have to sweat at the death as Waywood came home a comfortable winner by almost two lengths in the last leg.
The bet was placed just after 1pm on Saturday, and at the time of writing had not been cashed.
The upsets began in Race 4, Leg 1 of the Pick 6, with the arrival of 14-1 shot Hashtag Strat. Then Mighty High won the Allan Robertson Championship at 11-1, followed by Van Halen in the Gold Medallion at 28-1.
The number of surviving tickets after those shocks was pruned back further by the 15-1 winner of the SA Fillies Sprint, Sommerlied.
The last two legs of the Pick 6 offered some respite, but by then the damage was done. Bold Respect won the Tsogo Sun Sprint at 11-2 and Waywood the last race at 5-1.
There were just 1.07 winning tickets in total for the R3,398,460 dividend.
The Jackpot delivered a tidy R78,063.
The Place Accumulator paid R2,301 and the BiPot R6,791.
The top-paying Quartet of the day was in Race 6, with Van Halen, Cue The Music, Chimichuri Run and Goliath Heron paying R37,671.

....now had there been couplings included which arrived in 3 legs....there would have been many more winners....people that would be plowing in their returns again today....if Vee and co insist on trying to market this bet as a dream come true bet.....they are going to battle to lure more oke's that can drop a few grand each time they have a stab....this bet is for the big investor....me I increase my lotto ticket spend....the odds of a life altering return for me are about the same.... :S

....;they were very quick to capitalize on this payout .....received a SMS yesterday about this and reminding that Sundays P6 pool was estimated at 2.7BAR.....they only got 1,9BAR......looks like the punters no longer have the ammo to follow up and plow it into the next pool.....Vee and co were also short on pool projections for Friday and Saturday.....yet on Sunday they were a good few legs out....

It is actually true as saturday i spent 1 k on pick 6 and had there been couplings i would have caught a percentage, yes it wouldnt have paid so high but still a decent payout. Then on sunday i spent zero on the pick 6, but had i made on saturdays p6 with coupling i would have played yesterday aswell this week. Most people when they catch a pick 6 play more.
Bring back the couplings

.....the theory that this punter would never have got any bookie to get him more than 250K on a treble....take your 3 all to come as bankers in a P6 bet when the pool is worth taking a plunge
......had the 2 goodies arrived in leg 4 and 5 he is still in the ball park of a 250K payout....

I always thought 5% was the general bankroll management rule?
1% your own choice?

'Never take a percentage' and 'dont spend more than 1% of the bank' ..... unfortunately mutually exclusive in my case

You have to be really a big player to fit the criteria.
I always emphasize that structuring is very important. I can take numerous perms for R100 and if successful can catch an exotic anything from 20% to a couple of times.
