If either Crowd Pleaser or Platinum Prince is used as the line horse then African Night Sky will only go up 2 points to 110. If Head Honcho is used then 113. In any event, he will still be very well weighted in the July as he should be 118 on his Met run.
He has been very cleverly ridden from far off the pace in both his prep runs- I have no doubt that he could have run a good few lengths better had he been asked to.
He will deservedly start a short priced favourite in the July.

Maybe just worth pointing out the following ......

"Weights shall be framed by the handicapper in his sole discretion and without necessarily having regard for the horse's merit ratings

If you owned undercover Agent, would you supplement tomorrow?

Will probably be the highest rated 3yo colt/gelding in the country by tomorrow ..... 124 will it be
And snowdance to become a 128 rating .....highest 3yo and best rated in sa .

And both sail south and gold standard can be used as linehorses.

To answer your question ....i strongly doubt he will be supped

Liege ran 2nd last I think, well well beaten. Will he still be a contender?

Undercover Agent looks to me like a miler, even though the dam stayed 2200m, so I don’t think that he will try the July. The stable picked this race rather than the Daily News- if they thought he stays they would presumably have run there.
I would use Snowdance (114) as the line horse which makes UA 120.

Ziets, you are forgetting that Snowdance received sex allowance 2.5kg, so she ran 6 lb below Undercover Agent, not 4lb above him

On the topic of ANS. I do believe, as stated earlier, and by many others that the way it won only traffic problems could stop it.
However, here is my worry. Many moons ago I learnt my first big lesson backing what I thought was a July “shoo-in” at restrictive odds. On the day it got beat. I could not see it beat, and lumped on continually even though the price was skinny. Learnt a hard lesson. I comforted myself with the theory that 99 times out of 100 my horse would/should have won against its stable companion. There are no certainties esp on July day. They all trying.
This was re-emphasized to me few years later. Again, could not see my horse getting beat. Well backed by most and in my opinion was the stand out form horse. What happened? Second very hard lesson going ‘“all-in” on a July. Terrible interference when traveling ... would have shat in. I wept that day.
So if you got on at a big price, good luck to you for ANS. THEN ITS WORTH IT. Then you not getting burnt. However, to take 2s and less when it gets there? Eish, even though I Believe it cant be beat, I’m not going in for third time lucky. Too old for that shit. Don’t see the value.
I have experienced what I thought was the ‘one’ that couldn’t lose, but it did. Not at that price and with that amount of runners on cut up, narrow track.
Going back to the two “sure things”. The first was Fools Holme, and the second was Pas de Quoi.
They say we don’t learn from our mistakes in history. I wish those of you who you are on all the best. Honestly. I wish I had got on at a decent price. I will have to take my take my chances with a couple of roughies. I will cheer you home, though....

Agreed - ANS too short at current odds taking everything into account - will also depend on the weights - handicapper not necessarily bound by MR - and IF Coral Fever and Gold Standard both bow out, some runners at the bottom of the weights (if they get in) like Platinum Prince, Dark Moon Rising, Made to Conquer and even Yakeen, will not be under sufferance; so at current odds for me Majestic Mambo at 8's has to represent some value
