SOUTHWELL

Race 1: WARRIOR'S VALLEY(6) 2-1 Was beaten by Samovar when odds on at Southwell three weeks ago. I like the run two starts back where he won on the course and distance. He has a top speed rating of 81 and he should take a lot of catching this afternoon especially now that the Lingfield track is running pretty fast on top of him staying on at the business end of his races, so will be difficult to peg back if leading.

BIG BIG RUNNER!!!!! PUT THE LIGHTS OUT

Race 4: KEY PLAYER(4) 12-1 My Value Bet This horse posted a top speed rating of 76 on debut at this very same venue last October, where he stayed on well at the finish over 1400m which was run at a very good pace. We have not seen the best of him yet and today might be his day at very good odds. If he is ridden with a little more restraint then i fancy him to win

FAIRYHOUSE TODAY:

Race 1: LE MARTALIN(2) 7-10 Is the best and most consistent clocker in this six-runner beginners chase, and with today's conditions to suit should be able to get off the mark over fences at the fifth time of asking. Successful over hurdles at Galway in October of 2016, and in a bumper at Listowel he should take a power of beating.

Race 3: MASSEY'S WOOD(8) 11-1 My value in this 14-runner handicap hurdle, as he posted a joint top speed rating of 119 in victory at Thurles latest, and has similar conditions prevailing this afternoon. The second horse home in that contest, The Conditional, franked the from when scoring at the same venue a fortnight later. Up 2lbs for his last win which i think is not enough to stop him for yet another win. GREAT VALUE!!!!!!

Race 6: ASTHURIA(3) 1-1 Has been in good form of late with her recent wide margin victory at NAAS which gave her a speed rating of 122 this mare can stay all day, and will have no issue in handling the tough conditions today. She is my best bet on this card and very confident she will win.

Race 7: SIZING COAL(2) 12-10 Has been in good form of late, he has been proven over this course and distance & conditions too and will go well today. He is a winner over 4800m on heavy ground and with a speed rating of 84 which is 9 more than his closest rival I expect him to win this with ease.

Good racing

My Yankee.... no lurkers today unfortunately.

Warriors Valley x Topamichi x Ostilio x Master Burbridge

I have also taken the Nicola Currie win patent and the fixed place multi. I am a big fan.

we were supposed to go and chop down a wood this morning, but so much snow around so no chance of even trying as its a slushy snow. Hopefully it will be a long summer which goes right into October this year.

Kingi Compton in the 2nd at Lingfield, only doubt is that it might be too short a trip. Watching the betting closely.
