Stats Appies 2017 2018 disgraceful

31 appies have ridden so far i have removed Hewitson, siedl and Muscutt from stats.

6 ride in western Cape. 16 wins for the season from 260 mounts.44 jocks have ridden 3600 rides
4 ride in the Eastern Cape . 5 wins from 200 mounts. 35 jocks have ridden 2700 rides
5 ride in Kimberley. 4 wins from 120 mounts. 29 jocks have ridden 1700 rides
14 ride in Gauteng. 24 wins from 450 mounts 55 jocks have ridden 6400 rides
27 ride in KZN .102 wins from 1300 mounts. 41 jocks have ridden 3200 rides

WC 7% Rides allocated to appies
PE 7% Rides allocated to appies
Kimberley 7% Rides allocated to appies
Gauteng 7% Rides allocated to appies
KZN 29% Rides allocated to appies

i don't think Appies are being given sufficient opportunities by the Trainers.

why not?

Gauteng only really had one claimer - Majoka - Now we have Schwarz and Lerena all three are getting rides - PE is a waste as they don't have enough horses running there now and the Cape has too few races - More appies should come to Gauteng so that they can get rides here and in Flamingo

Most of them are moderate. Ride some winners with 4 and 2.5 Kg claim and then the big head syndrome takes over. Especially when presenters say on air how hard they work. Thats a joke, most spend their time trying to get out of work!! And have this culture of " I only ride work for a trainer when i get rides from them"

Which is disgusting - there are way enough horses at the Vaal to at least have one appie based there - you cant expect trainers just to rely on the claim without at least getting an idea if the kid will suite the horse or not... I rember 5 or so years ago the academy used to drive appies to the vaal and they would be running around from ring to ring trying to ride work...

3 Appies rode at Flamingo on 05/02/18..19 rides for 7 different trainers.
.....Bob i dont know if im wrong.You have made it your mission to attack Flamingo park racing. last week it was Owner Francois du Toit..a topic that conveniently dissapeared of the forum..and now..Too many bad habits in Flamingo...do you know something we dont or is it a case of sour relationships or grudges.

I rember 5 or so years ago the academy used to drive appies to the vaal and they would be running around from ring to ring trying to ride work...

If they as appies are not first at the stables to ride work and learn learn learn then no sympathy.

Thart's why there is an academy master - It's his job to ensure they ride work and go to stables not the appies - They like any youngsters will take a gap unless they are disiplined - They can't jump in a car and drive to the Vaal or any other track- It's the academy that must make arrangments and get them to the different tracks so that they form relationships with trainers and their horses.
