R6, Over Again, this must be the stand-out bet on this card?
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

I will be following Richard Fourie tomorrow. He has some nice rides
Race 3 and 8 likely double
Its Durbanville so small bets are the order of the day for me.

Race 1: Flower of Carmel has been expensive to follow and again jumps as favourite. I won’t back her at that price, and will back her up with Capaill in the bipot. Fourie rides Jeovana in preference to The Green Park, and these two and Rebels Burst include in quartet.
Race 2: This is a competitive race and could throw an upset. Kingston Passage is consistent but not much value at 2/1. Al Wahed gets 4kg off his back with the apprentice, and if he does not find the going too hard should be right there. Northern Corner won a good race last time and should again be competitive. Prince Alfred is not consistent but jumps from draw one with bottom weight so could surprise.
Race 3: Bikini Model gets a nice draw this time and I think is huge ew value at 14/1. Star Burst went close last time and will be right there. Arctic Siren, Hemero and Bendy Bullet are all good enough to win.
Race 4: A tricky race with a few unproven the trip. Go wide. Black Pimpernel a tentative selection.
Race 5: A weak distance handicap and again go wide. Benjamin and Bank the Cash my preferred two.
Race 6: Over Again is speedy and consistent, but has quite a high rating for her achievements. The 4kg claim is the right tactic and she should be right there again. Cape Charlotte is well in at best and will challenge. Rustar Dhow runs well at Durbanville and will be competitive from a good draw.
Race 7: Bon Bon is working well and is running off a competitive rating- expect her to run in the first three. Indian Song beat nothing of note on debut, but as a result has only been given a 71 rating. She was green on debut and must expect big improvement. She should win this easily and at 3/1 is the bet of the day. Besides her, it is a tightly handicapped field.
Race 8: The Goon Show went too hard early when trying 1600m last time and faded. Back in trip to 1400m and a nice draw, he should run a much improved race. Chatuchak failed narrowly last time and should win this easily. Count Rosberg and Royal Marine look next best. Gimme a Cohiba improving.

Bass comments:

Pre-race comments Kenilworth 3 February 2018
Flower Of Carmel
Event: Race 1, Maiden Plate (F & M)
Distance: 1000m
Pre-race comments: Back in a 1000m again, this looks a fairly weak field and she will be in with a good winning chance here.

Arctic Siren
Event: Race 4, Maiden Plate (F & M)
Distance: 1400m
Pre-race comments: Good second last time. She does take on a bit stronger in this maiden and over a bit further, but we’re hoping for a good run and she should have a fair each way chance.

Countess Cantabria
Event: Race 4, Maiden Plate (F & M)
Distance: 1400m
Pre-race comments: She found the back end of the quartet last time against weaker. Never shows much at home and from a bad draw we will be hopeful she can make the money again.

So It Begins
Event: Race 4, Maiden Plate
Distance: 2400m
Pre-race comments: He was beaten two lengths by Mr Mcguire last time over 1800m, but will relish this extra distance so we’re hoping to reverse that form and give him a good each way chance this time.

Benjan
Event: Race 5, MR 72 Handicap
Distance: 2400m
Pre-race comments: He has it all against him with the weight and draw but is always consistent and should be in the firing line again.

Little Miss Me
Event: Race 7, FM 74 Handicap (F & M)
Distance: 1400m
Pre-race comments: First run out the maidens, so hard to say against the older fillies and from a bad draw. The handicappers were a little harsh on her for her maiden win, so we will see where we fit in here.

Indian Song
Event: Race 7, FM 74 Handicap (F & M)
Distance: 1400m
Pre-race comments: She won her maiden quite impressively first time out, she takes on stronger here sowe will be hoping for another good showing. She could be anything.
