I am not sure about that - See Lyle H. got injured in the last at the Vaal - looked serious and hope he gets well soon , however who know Delpech for Copper Force dosesnt sound to bad.

Still on Copper Force, last run over a mile was an absolute cracker but 10furlongs? I am having stamina issues on him.

When a horse flies up over a mile and runs 2nd/3rd, it doesn't mean that he is necessarily looking for more ground...

Thats a very good point to take note of. The pace in the Met will be nowhere near that of the QP and I for one believe that Legal Eagle at set weights will be a huge runner. I am bankering him in everything. All those that are carrying on about the 2000 need only look at his previous Met runs. Those were under handicap conditions and tomorrow he is better off on paper. If Anton can place him just off the leading line coming into that straight its pay pay for me

i watched a replay of the 2017 Met and CA went clear very much like in this years queens plate and was again only caught last 200 or so.

LE gave CA 2 KG last year. If something else sets the pace CA will win otherwise i am on NOTHER Russia.

....in hindsight they should have replaced Byleveld with Delpech on Nightigale....as Byleveld according to the stipes report felt something amiss and would attest to her dropping off from a 5 draw to stone last.....the vet reported nothing abnormal was found post race....

He did mention on 1 of the previews on TT that he thinks that Nightingale has a good place chance and he will be racing handy. Whenever these jockeys come on air and commit then the horses dont run accordingly... wonder why?

.....that is exactly my beef....he squandered a great draw....what a a waste.....liked that he said he would not drop out but then did exactly that.....Delpech on the other hand knows the mare and would have been a better judge.... :S

Look forward to watching last winter winning July and with a bit luck Strydom retaining the mount.
