"Group" RESULTS - 'Afternoon Session' Monday 30 June.

Afternoon,

This afternoon completed and went as follows..

The 1st runner we wanted 3.5 and with getting around 3.25 and shorter on arrival, we had a lay at 3.25 max. The price then drifted out to our own price of 3.8 and beyond, so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade went and won, so the way it goes, but glad of the 'free' lay now...

The 2nd runner we wanted 1.7 and with being around 1.86 on arrival and not coming down to our lay price at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten and so 'one that got away in hindsight'.....

The 3rd runner we wanted 2.2 and with drifting to around 3.2 on arrival and although dropping down considerably, the price never quite come back down to our lay price, so a race to avoid for race to race players. The runner went and won, so a good leave....

The 4th runner we wanted 3.3 and with drifting to around 3.45 on arrival and then dropping down to us and slightly beyond, we had a lay at 3.3 max. The price then went back the other way and out to our own price of 3.6 and beyond, so another chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade was beaten and so a good result.....

The 5th runner we wanted 2.7 and with drifting to around 2.88 on arrival and then dropping back down to us and slightly beyond, we had a lay at 2.7 max. The price then went back the other way and out to our own price of 3.0 and slightly beyond, so a chance of a 'free' lay for traders and builders. The lay/trade was beaten and so a good result......

The 6th runner we wanted 1.4 and with being around 1.56 on arrival and not coming down to our lay price at any stage, we all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won a close finish, so a good leave........

The 7th and final runner we wanted 1.5 and with being around 1.82 on arrival and not coming down to us at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won, so a good leave.......

WELL PLAYED/BATTLED.......................(2 from the first 3 (66.66%) went and won - and 4 from the 7 (57%) in total - so a tough session and to walk away winning or level was a good effort)

'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) Finished levels.....They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner and after a poor start, they ended up level after their 3rd lay (the 5th runner) and with that leaving them with just one potential lay left, they take the levels and walk........

'Bank building' strategy/target players started with a 'free' lay (the 1st runner) that only bought relief.....5 runner builders then found themselves with an insufficient amount left, so stop here at levels.....4 runner builders carried on and had another 'free' lay (the 4th runner) that bought a tiny profit..........They themselves then found they had an insufficient amount left to start a strategy, so they end winning 0.1 of a target.......

Bank builder 4 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100

'Free' lay bought no free profit, only relief.

Total bank remains £400

'Free' lay bought average/minimum profit £10

Total bank now £410

That left just 3 potential lays left, so not enough to a strategy/target and so they end it here.

Overall result. Win 0.1 of target.

Bank builder 5 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100

'Free' lay bought no free profit, only relief.

Total bank remains £400

They then found themselves with only 4 potential lays left, so not enough to start a strategy and so they end it here.

Overall result. Level.

'Traders' either won a bit, or broke level on all their trades, so they did a good job and well played guys..

So builders dodged and weaved to either break level or win a bit, so they'll settle for that and go into this evening. Rollers had a poor start, but battled back well to get levels, so they'll go into this evening with this afternoon's satchels. Speak soon with this evening's workings..

All the races have been priced up with non runners taken into account, up until 09.51am.

That's what we have to work around for this afternoon then. Not too many and so not much room for error early, but we do have enough about us to warrant going into battle, so that's what we'll do. Discipline to the maximum as per normal and take advantage of any prices that come our way. Good luck guys and speak soon with this evening's workings.
