Many people are getting excited because mdk responds to what has happened.Lets also not get carried away, if i stole a tv on two seperate sites, i would be tried in cou for two cases, i work in a high crime area and if somebody breaks in we will lay a case which is normal and let the law take its place as sometimes this would make people wake up.I remmeber years ago a trainer who got caught changing price tags at makro eneded up getting a criminal record and in those days a record meant you couldnt hold a licence. We all have to take responsibilty of our actions. If a jockey commits two seperate acts of crime then he needs to take responsibility.
If he feels done in then he must apeal the sentence.I would rather take a suspended sentence instead of going to court and getting a record.
If i go break into my neighbour house tonight and get caught, will anyone stand up for me?

How, if I may ask, do you get a suspended sentence without getting to court and getting a record? mate, a suspended sentence comes as part of a criminal conviction & inevitably means a blot. As for you being keen on a man taking responsibilities, clearly the jock is in need of help. Nobody is condoning the actions, but folks here point out the clear need to offer a helping hand to a man who is down on his luck. Let's avoid an armchair approach.

Read somewhere that the English premier league does random testing for recreational drugs on players. Players testing positive are sent for rehab and their identities concealed. Good approach I think.

Have to agree some posters really dont have an idea!! Addiction is serious and its actually a disease if he is in the Gauteng area and someone could get him to Houghton House in Randburg it's a fantastic facility that would for sure be able to help him. I wonder if P or Jocks association could help to get him there . He can turn it around with the right advice care and guidance.
