"Group" RESULTS - 'Sunday' 29 June Workings..
16 years 11 months ago
Afternoon,
This afternoon completed and went as follows..
The 1st runner we wanted 3.0 and with being around 3.15 on arrival and only getting bigger and bigger, we never see our lay price at any stage at all, so all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won, so a nice priced winner, but more importantly a good leave..
The 2nd runner we wanted 1.8 and with being around 1.93 on arrival and not coming down to us at any stage at all, it was another race to avoid for all. The runner came in 2nd after a battling finish, so heart attack saved, but 'one that got away in hindsight'...
The 3rd runner we wanted 1.6, but a non runner and 5.2% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 1.57. That was the price on arrival and shortening, so we had a lay at 1.57 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result..
The 4th runner we wanted 2.7 and with being around 2.86 on arrival and then dropping down to us and slightly beyond, we had a lay at 2.7 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result......
The 5th runner we wanted 2.2, but a non runner and 13.3% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.04. The price was around 1.85 on arrival, so we had a lay at 1.85. The lay went and won and so the way it goes. Traders did get their trade back prices in running, so got away with it.....
The 6th runner we wanted 2.7 and with being around 2.5 on arrival and getting shorter and shorter under good support (went odds on) we had a lay at 2.5 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result........
The 7th runner we wanted 3.1 and with being around 3.0 and slightly shorter on arrival, we had a lay at 3.0 max. The lay went and won, so the way it goes. Traders got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it...
The 8th runner we wanted 2.4, but a non runner and 7.2% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.3. The price was around 3.0 on arrival and only got bigger, so with not seeing our lay price at any stage, we all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won, so a nice priced winner, but more importantly a good leave......
The 9th runner we wanted 2.1 and with drifting to around 2.44 on arrival and only getting bigger, race to race players had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten, so the drift justified and beat race to racers to the punch. Grr! Early traders happy though.....
The 10th runner we wanted 2.4 and with being around 2.8 on arrival and then dropping down to us, we had a lay at 2.4. The lay was beaten and so a good result.......
The 11th runner we wanted 1.6 and with getting that and slightly shorter on arrival, we had a lay at 1.6 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result......
The 12th and final runner we wanted 3.5 and with being around 3.3 on arrival, we had a lay at around 3.3. That's where I'm leaving it with only a tiny bit of trading on offer and all strategy play completed, so good luck traders with this remaining runner..
WELL PLAYED.................(2 from the first 5 (40%) went and won - 4 from the first 8 (50%) went and won - So a tough enough day, but we came through it well to get the money and more)
'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) Won 2 targets..............They started their 1st strategy/target on the 3rd runner and hit on that runner..........They then started their 2nd strategy/target on the 4th runner and went on to hit their targets on their 3rd lay (the 6th runner).............They then started their 3rd strategy/target on the 7th runner and after a poor start and then breaking level on their 2nd lay (the 11th runner), they found themselves with only one potential lay left, so with now being level and no room for error, they end here and win 2 targets on the session..
'Bank building' strategy/target players had their 1st lay (the 3rd runner) at 1.57 max and a good result see them hit their targets....
Bank builder 4 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100
1st lay £100 to win the £100 target @ 1.57 max. Result positive. Win £100
Total bank now £500
Overall result. Target hit.
*****************************************
Bank builder 5 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100
1st lay £80 to win the £100 target @ 1.57 max. Result positive. Win £100
Total bank now £500
Overall result. Target hit.
******************************************
'Traders' either won, or broke level on all their trades, so well played guys and good luck with the last...
So builders made light work of the day with playing good and solid early, so well played guys.
Rollers hit a couple, so they're ending the month strong and well played and speak in the morning.
Marc.

That's our work for this afternoon then. Discipline to the maximum and take advantage of any prices that come our way. Good luck and speak soon.
