The trees have been there for years......its a money making strategy to sell off the area to businesses who want space in their tents.

What has happened to the follow up article by Louw that was on the SP earlier this week I think I read it Monday late afternoon and has now disappeared?

Censured?

So does this mean she has retracted her article, been forced to retracted it , Gagged or is there just not enough space on the site

This does not surprise me at all. About two weeks ago when Robyn wrote about the Met and Mr Bolt , that night there was various opinions floating on the subject under the SP Who Thinks What .

The next thing an exec comes on and has a go how negative Robyn's article was and that it was wrong of her to express her feelings such as that.

Karel the Editor then responded by saying that he was wrong that we all are entitled to express our opinion.

The next day I went back to see if it had carried on. Guess what Pulled like it never happened. The only thing that SP forgot that the comments had been forwarded to twitter and had done the rounds through twitter .

SP are very week when it comes to this , they would make very bad poker players and always throw their cards in half way through the game. Or maybe they got a letter from R J B Esq .

I have noticed that SP has become less and less tolerant of views that go against the establishment.

I suppose the bills have to be paid.

That's what happens when independent organisations don't want to support the media. Imagine if amaBhungane did not have their funding.

Anyway, I would rather have SP post an article and then retract it, than not post it at all :cheer:

....also found it strange about not finding ......Red faces and Blue gums.....so sad that almost every critic is being systematically stifled.... :S....bottom line....they were out of line.....a bigger buy in by all stake holders should have been voted on....trees even non indigenous specimens should be felled as the very the last resort.....blue gums were imported and planted in this country for their hardiness to endure dry periods and provide shade and act as windbreaks....took 40+ years for trees to grow....and in a day....they were no more.... :(
