We have Zanadu running again in the 1600m @ 14:10. Here's what you need to know:
1.) Trainer said 'Expect nothing' in her first two runs. He wasn't kidding! She also ran in a half set of shoes on both of those occasions.
2.) She picked up a niggle after her second run as a result of the hard going. This has apparently been sorted & the going at present should be more to her liking.
3.) She is incredibly green so it seems that racing her is all we can do to cure that........who knows when the penny will drop.
Tomorrow:
4.) Full set of alumites.
5.) Will I have to assist the elderly jockey mount up? Possibly. Lol..
6.) It's a bit of a soup meat field.
7.) She is bred for 2 miles
8.) Trainer expects an improved performance.
9.) She is fit & well
10.) I do not punt my own horses as my judgement is understandably clouded by hope. So any betting moves are not coming from me.

Race 1
Preview: MA FORTE ran a cracker on debut and with that run under her belt she can improve to win. SAVAGE GARDEN has finished fifth in both her runs thus far and can now get much closer to the action – big runner. IT IS WHAT IT IS placed last time and the same looks to be on the cards for her again today. (Warren Lenferna 7-12-4)
Race 2
Preview: This is a hard race to assess. SUNBLITZ ran okay on debut and can improve to finish in the first three. DO IT AGAIN could run well on debut and is by Twice Over whose progeny are running well. HADARAT finished behind Al Mariachi last time and the latter has since come to KZN and done very well – one to follow. It would however not be a shock if a first timer won this race – watch the betting. (Warren Lenferna 12-8-9)
Race 3
Preview: COT CAMPBELL showed improvement from run one to run two position wise. This does not seem to be the strongest field ever assembled and it looks to be Cot Campbell’s race to secure his maiden win. SPECTRA FORCE, CROME YELLOW and DANGER ROCK are horses worth mentioning and including in the quartet. (Warren Lenferna 1-11-2)
Race 4
Preview: HITHER GREEN is taking time to win but she showed last time that her time to shine is very near. She gets a good draw and the services of a top rider – if she does not win today then she might battle. I am confident of her winning chances. DESTINY DUCHESS improved in her second start and surely has a lot more to offer. She comes from a top yard and should be able to go very, very close to winning here. SEATTLE SOUND has placed in her last three and again, her place chances look very bright. (Warren Lenferna 1-4-9)
Race 5
Preview: STRIKEITLIKEAMATCH has had many chances but in saying that his form is solid and very consistent. He went close to winning last time and has been selected as the firm first choice here. DESERT LARK is another that nearly won last time and has had as many chances as the first pick. There should not be too much between them at the finish. ROKATENDA is a must for the quartet. (Warren Lenferna 4-2-3)
Race 6
Preview: NORTHERN BALLET is holding her form and looks to be the right one. She comes into the race with very strong each way claims. Jockey Weichong Marwing is in town and he partners EXCELLENT in this race. This daughter of Fort Wood is very seldom far off the action and it should simply be a matter of time now before she notches up another career victory. It would be silly to ignore KEEP THE FAITH from the quartet. (Warren Lenferna 2-3-4)
Race 7
Preview: BLACK CAT BACK has won his last two in impressive fashion and has been selected to reel off the hat trick. CATKIN does not know how to run a bad race and is holding his form very well. He has a chance but has to carry top weight. At the bottom end of the weights is NEW CALEDONIA. He ran very close to Nasty Harry last time finishing second. If he were to go one better it would be no shock at all but they might all have to go some to prevent Black Cat Back from achieving his hat trick. (Warren Lenferna 5-1-
Race 8
Preview: ROCKETEER won well last time albeit a lowly rated handicap. He runs in a stronger rated handicap today but should nevertheless be able to get into the action again. GADGET MAN has finished a close up fourth in both his post maiden runs and this is very encouraging for the rest of his career as he does not look like he will remain a one time winner. MUTZI pops up now and again and is a horse that must be respected and included in the quartet. (Warren Lenferna 8-9-1)
Race 9
Preview: HALL OF FAME won in the manner of a fair horse on debut and she has been selected to remain unbeaten after this race. QUIPPI finished second last time at attractive odds. I doubt if you will get those odds again today but this daughter of Trippi is a must in most bets. Include FERRERO ROCHA in the quartet. (Warren Lenferna 1-3-2)
