P, I'm not saying their decision making concerning the Sporting Post is correct (to the contrary)or any of their dealings are in the best interest of racing(IMO). What I am saying is that Hollywood is also not the holy grail of bookmakers as their contribution is far behind their oppositions.

7 years 11 months agobettingworld is 100 percent owned by phumelela so any sponsorship from them is coming out the same coffers as for the new kids on the block wsb lets see how long their so called sponsorship lasts just like the other phumelela half owned supabets and also interbet ...hollywood do plenty for the game and if the massive egos at phumelela gave them a chance they would do a lot more and hopefully gold circle do not ban selling these books in their outlets ..computaform makes heavy losses every year and so surely set aside your fat ego and sell it to someone who specialises in printing such as winning form who would get the book out to punters a lot more cheaper and also have a lot less errors ...hell no we cant be seen selling to them rather run at a loss ,,its a matter of time they stop selling the printed versionneigh wrote: P, I'm not saying their decision making concerning the Sporting Post is correct (to the contrary)or any of their dealings are in the best interest of racing(IMO). Pirates there are multiple points i agree with you on however the fact remains that any business using the races to generate income for their business needs to contribute to the pot.
If this rationale is incorrect then why should P & GC pay any stakes, in fact i would actually like to see both of them stop the stakes pot immediately and only keep 5% of the money wagered, pay the rest to the punters.
See how many owners stay in the game and then punters can move to soccer bets or bugs racing up the wall.

I have been told for ages that Hollywood has put money into a trust account every month and when everything is sorted out it is ready to be paid to Tellytrack? Maybe Pirates can confirm?

Whatever issue it is has taken too long to sort out at a huge financial cost to both sides, it is time common ground is found to improve racing for everyone. The Teletrack issue in my "opinion" has merits in that any business using the product to generate income for their business should pay. How much and the conditions attached are very debatable, i do not have the specific's so cannot debate this however where two parties cannot agree there must be some sort of value shortage.

Tigershark I shudder to think that you have any type of capacity representing owners.

I shudder to think that you have anything to do with racing but then that is just my opinion.

In my humble opinion Sporting Post needs to understand that most of the blame lies at the feet of the Racing Association who has effective control of the Racing Trust which owns 35% of Phumelela. Sporting Post is an important tool for owners and punters. The RA and the Racing Trust have enough clout to get the ban lifted. It sounds simple and it is that simple.

Juvenile too I see. It gets better for KZN owners.
Lets take away stakes from owners to punish bookies who do not toe the operators line.
Makes perfect sense. If you have the interests of the operators in mind.

The point was to illustrate what happens when nobody contributes to stakes but i see that is wasted on you.
I have just searched for the last time you gave up your time to try and effect worthwhile change in racing instead of being a keyboard jockey. Can't seem to find anything......
Even juveniles know that identification is only 10% of any solution.

I am a punter Tigershark. I do not care about owners, I do however question your level of maturity when you make the sweeping statements that you do. As a neutral observer I question where your loyalties lie. To make things clear, my loyalty is to myself and my pocket. I am not however a self-appointed representative of owners interests in KZN.
