Betting's open for this. I've taken 6/1 Bela-Bela thus far, looks the value. Marinaresco should win if he shows up but I doubt he'll run plus he's drawn the widest - more than likely he'll scratched - besides why take 18/10 when he was 18/1 a few weeks back :woohoo:

The big captain must also go close but Bela might just have his edge over the extra 200m. Top race.

you can't be serious.any gr 1 race of 1600m or further the first thing i do is scratch all the kzn horses and then i eliminate all the jhb horses except for s tarry runners,even if they are at huge odds because he has the "magic touch" and then i must find the winner from the remaining cape trained horses.

At WFA terms Marinaresco will be hard to beat. Would be a very nice Grade 1 double to pull off, and I hope he does.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

In this race I always go for a horse that did not run in the July as I feel they are at their peak for the July. Will be going for Captain America all day long from Bela Bela.
