He made Carbon Offset in the 12th his best bet on the card
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

He is very bullish about 12, but said it is basically a 2 horse race , that's the way most of the panel guys thought

My take on it all...

For the sake of professionalism, have a panel that talks about the racing as we had for Champions Day. I remember the Panel of Mathew De Kock, Sean Tarry, Craig Zackey and Dom Zaki doing a phenomenal job in studio. Not much was said about the betting aspect of the game and it was concise and respectable. I do believe Daryl is world class and if you wanted a betting angle well then add him in and let him give his opinions on exotics and the day. As he always does so in a professional manner.

Then for the sake of your die hard, in shop punters. Host these livel discussion events in the lead up to the raceday. These do not have to be aired but if you think Andrew Fortune is a legend and love his banter and opinion then pitch up to the event. it seems shortcuts are trying to be taken and this is why it all seems so unprofessional. You can't tell me tellytrack was proud of what happened last night.

nothing wrong with the show.very informative and i respect mr fortune for his chirps about the state of the track since gold circle got hold of it.lol.He told it like it is and warned punters about the going in the later races and the best bets that are drawn so wide like al mariachi.great show and big respect to maree for his views on the racing for the big day.i was going to bank al mariachi in my p6,but now will add horses on advice from panel and look to cut down earlier in the day.it is going to be a tough day for the punters.

for all the clan'ners interested as to what was said last night.
1st the consensus was that leisure trip was the right one, from been silver class, flying silver, cosmic burst, seek the summit and bon bon
2nd banker head honcho
3rd Vee was bullish on Royal badge the danger been centenary(de kock gave it a good chance)
maree tipped 3/5/6 to include 1 if taking a quatet
4th Vee said he is only putting 6/7/10 in pick6, very confident that is all he needs to have in pick6....andrew also said its between 6/7/10.......De Kock (expects Kinaan to run a big race, good E/W) as for banner hill says that mission is the gold cup.......Maree tipped 3/5/7/10 for pick 6
5th Vee likes London secret but advises to go wide in exotics.......Maree also likes London secret from 4/2//5/13.....andrew likes 4 but go wide..........De Kock advised to go wide
6th Vee said take the field for exotics.... De Kock expects Naafer to run a better race than hakeem, the dangers been 14/11/3...... Maree liked 1/3/7/11/14 in the exotics.........fortune like the look of 1
7th all agree that the race is between 12 and 13............Vee said that his only concern about 13 is the fact that 13 travelled alot which can take a toll on a horse, as for 12 everything is spot on.......he even asked De Kock about the travelling of 13 but De Kock brushed that off and said it was a better way to prepare the horse having it in its own enviornment......De Kock's concern is the 1 draw for 13 said it could end up been the bad draw...it depends on the race......he also said that Zodiac Ruller's run could give some insight into the chances of the 12 and 13 in the main race........but gave Zodiac Ruler no chance ....... and also said that should the 13 be placed well it should beat the 12 considering that there is a weight advantage and also Edict of nantes got first run on Al Sahem his other horse that he likes are 7/8/10/11
8th Vee like 11 to win ....one to watch is 3 from 9 and 7............Maree also likes 5........De Kock likes 11/3/5
9th De Kock says its tough ask for 1...........Vee said its between 1/3/5/8 but advised to go wide...........andrew said its open race go wide

10th they all make it a 2 horse race between 1 and 10 ..........Maree said the 1 is his second best bet for the day from 10 and 6........mike said that 10 will be a big danger to 1 and could even be better from 11.........Vee likes 1/6/10/11/12 for the exotics .....andrew said that 6 good place bet.
11th Vee said that to include 2 in all bets.....on ratings he likes 6 outsider no. 12.......Maree likes 6 from 7 as an outsider............andrew makes 7 a good roughie.........De Kock likes the 6

12th Maree best bet on the card no 14 from 6........... De Kock likes 3..........andrew said between 5 and 6

good punting
