Cannot see him lasting in the stable.. How can he find himself at the back from a 6 draw. Even when he got the gap the the last 150...he could not take advantage...instead he rides up the arse of the horse in front and then checks for a stride breaking momentum. watch the replay

It's a pity Muzi has to jet off for 2 weeks.

As for me ....apart from my trusted PA, I got right royal hiding.

As an owner in Amazon King, i think Keagan did nothing wrong. The plan was always to drop the horse out. Yes he did get caught a bit further back than we wanted.

Instead of blaming the jock, have a look at the race, yet again the track was unable to hold a 10 race card.

They had to race off the rail, which did no help matters.

Yes we did have a nice bet but that is racing.

Maybe that's were a better jock could guide the team better IMO. This was the 10th race...he would have seen the track deteriorating (if it did) etc, and advise the team to change the tactics. Not talking from my pocket at all.

Shanks good to see you take your loses well, but as you said he was further back than you wanted and that lost him the race.Someone had to win the race and the way he rode the race cost you guys some money. There is forever excuses in racing but that is not what we want to hear.

The track condition will play a massive part in the outcome of the July........you need to be maximum 5 lenghts off the pace and on the outside and start making your run as you enter the final bend into the home straight. The winner will come on the outside.........so which horse will be best suited to these tactics.......any comments.....

Agree that track conditions will play a major role. Horses that can find their run early will have an advantage, but also as many of them will find themselves in trouble for space a fast finisher from off the pace might find a space open up for them. Marineresco benefitted a bit from that last year, just a bit late.
Last few years has been annoying to see horses with a ton in hand just never getting into top gear as there was nowhere to go.

As per usual (and more so in recent years) it will be up to luck in running and jockeyship - and it's going to be very interesting to find who rides what .... Delpech on Al Sahem or one of the Snaith runners, Marcus on Edict of Nantes or The Conglomerate, Strydom on The Conglomerate or one of the Snaith runners

1.the greyvulle track is kak....that's the bottom line.years gone by racing at greyville was midweek on turf and no problems with the grass ..the last 3-4 years they trying to get it right..how many years will it take to hold a proper 10 race card with no issues or have a midweek card on turf....doubt anytime soon..... as for Keegan de melo muzi showed him how to ride in race 8.. poor ride on Roman emperor.IMO he should be short price fav to be axed as stable jock..
