Race 1

Looks quite open but betting wise i think the maiden nr 14 Sequined looks value. On a line through Bridal Veil ,Sequined have the beating of Meryl that is 2nd fav. 17/2 looks a eachway bet on Sequined.

Race 2
Bloodlines 2 4 5 6 7
Nr 6 Monks Hood is very short in the betting , if he fluffs his reputation and betting support , then race is very open. Hope he does live up to it.

Nrs 2 6 and 12 is the best horses in the race and their odds 3/1 , 10/1 and 16/1 . Great value on the last 2.
On a line through Angels power Romis Boy and Hashtag Strat is very very close. Hashtag strat better drawn so i will go eachway on her.

Nr 1 trip to heaven won this race last year and got demoted. That performance was his only effort over 1600m ever and its still better than any other runner could achieve . I will bank him otherwise go wide. I think 7/1 is a massive price.

If Live On The Moon can recapture his form of last year in this same race (he got beaten from draw 12/12 by a head , carrying 1,5 kg more.) He will be hard to beat . 16/1 is exellent odds to go eachway.

The Cup Trial in recent times has been a good pointer to the July.......Conglomerate...Punta Arenas and Saratoga Dancer .....in the last 3 years prove that .....

This Elusive Silva....has a smashing winning chance in the July....he is still green and should they get him to run straight in the finish ....he can win the big one.....

Race 6

Master Switch - Done nothing last two runs, clearly doesn't like Greyville

Black Arthur - Done nothing this season its in black and white. Take out the poly runs for crowd pleaser and you get 2.5 lengths behind a MR65, 33l behind Heavenly Blue, etc etc etc so I think finishing 3rd here is nothing special.

Elusive Silva - I will concede that based on winning the sledgehammer and winning this race ES will get a spot but he was just was not good enough in the bettingworld getting weight to have a chance at being competitive in the July for me and think he's filling numbers. The quality of what its beat in its last 3 runs leaves a lot to be desired, don't think its finished in front of a horse on the log in its last 3 runs, any horse on the log its bumped its got beaten by so if it gets in it should be stone last on the log.

They all ran in the drillhall last year too didn't they and that had Legislate in the field so I'd make a case for the drillhall being the pointer last year. The cup trial field was also nearly double the size last year so again I bring up the argument of the strength of the field this year, crowd pleaser has absolutely no grass form.
