SCOTIA ON ROYAL ASCOT DAY 3.
16 years 11 months ago
Good morning to the CLAN on day 3, where the highlight on day 2 was Duke Of Marmalade and the negative Bankable, however my hero McCoy came to the rescue over the jumps with the 4/1 shot Kaldouas.
As far as Dettori and Ryan Moore [ when will he ever get a winner at Royal Ascot] they are being ridden to sleep with Johnny Murtagh, who looks sure to lift the best jockey prize.
The racing is a nightmare today from a punting point of view and only the Gold Cup is of interest to me.
I would have to stick with Yeats in a bid for a 3 timer in this prestigious race and none other than Murtagh in the saddle, however the gelding is now 7 and will have plenty competition from the young pretender Coastal Path the 4 yr old, in addition Geordieland who is also 7 should make it a great race.
I see MDK gives Thundering Star a good chance to place, but personally cant see this happening and again watch you bets/prices on SA horses.

Oh ye of little faith.
Heh, I have no idea if he has a chance or not, but rooting for him anyway.
Gold Cup is 4000 metres? Yikes.

No problem Sabre
The point I make is that 100/1 is on offer a win and 8/1 the place, so don't be taking 20/1 for a win and R1.80 for a place on the tote!
good punting!

I hear you, Dave. Taking a look at the form it does look like a tough ask, even if he does stay the trip. Some very impressive staying formlines in there. Yeats won 11 from 18, Coastal Path unbeaten from 6 starts etc. Thundering Star has 9 lengths to make up on Coastal Path on their meeting in April, though he would've needed that run.
