A couple of interest today. But always worrying when I can make a case for most of the fav's.

R1 Orpheus in Azzies words "is a massive horse" we saw just that on debut and taking that into account will the inside track suit? I'm not going to take odds on to find out. No bet race for me.

R2 Between numbers 1,2,5,6 preference for silver Thursday but again too short for me to have a bet but makes for good watching.

R3 Varimax banker in all bets, no problem with the drop in trip on breeding. Banker in the pa and p6 for me.

R4 Looks like save the best for last has this one to lose. Not convinced on any of the other shorter runners. Potential for improvement and therefore place money Casino.

R5 If pushed for a preference it would be Cataluga, but for me possibly a field race. Fancied runners drawn wide and I think this field should be 4/1 bar. Thus no value at the moment on Cataluga. Roughie for consideration scarlet veil if she doesn't lose start and manages to hold her position. These two for the pa for me.

R6 She's a giver on ratings has them all held. Was very impressed with Shukamisa run last week and does seem to like this inside track. Banker in the pa for me and include a couple others in the pick 6.

R7 I'm prepared for egg but I can't seem to make a case for Unagi, cash in as well as trading profit for various reasons. I think Cashins race last time thanks to Unagi had the race tailor made for him and may be vulnerable to an under rated improving horse. For that reason I've looked further down in the betting and I get to Yankee Captain. A win and a place from two attempts on the track, should come on for the last race albeit held by TP who I think prefers more of a galloping track. My roughie worth consideration is Bizjet, been pretty consistent since moving from Kzn and think represents some e/w value. Thus will take a chance with YC and Bizjet for the pa.

R8 I can't separate military award and Pilou. I've always rated Pilou for some reason and although smashed a mediocre field lto Khumalo didn't move and the run couldn't have taken too much out of him wouldn't surprise me if Khumalo/Tarry closed the meeting. Both these runners for the pa and possible upset potential in the p6 from consistent Duzi moon and the returning tendre who seems to have his issues.

All the best and play well.

Here again in the highveld and a eight race card awaits us in Turffontein. Only two bets catches my eye in that of race 6, Machismo and race 7, Unagi.

The Tarry trained runner did not seem to enjoy the step down in trip in MR88 company back in early May and will prefer this longer distance.

Jockey switches in race 7, does seem to be clear cut as the Ormond Ferraris runner cashin doesnt get the services of top jockey Anthony Delpech.

I will play around these two in form of a quick double with generous odds of 24/1

There are a few attracting attention. Both hotshot favorites in R1 and R3 are trained by the same trainer. Will they live up to their odds on status? At least they don't have to compete with any of their stable companions!!

R3 I have listened to what has been said about the future of Silver Thursday and that she is rated by her stable, but Striker striking for Spies on an obviously very fit Star Profile does it for me. Folk Dance 2nd and then only Silver Thurday

R4 is an upset race imo. If Serene Countess does not run away by 5 lengths, Watch my Dust will take it. Nice price e/w

R6 what ever system you use, She's a giver should come out tops. However I did no t think Machismo was given a fair ride LTO so I make him the biggest threat

R 7 Unagi - banker

R 8 nightmare, although I like the arguments for Military award. Field In P6 for me

Have fun everyone
