DERBY TIME!!!

Aidan O'Brien will have six chances of Investec Derby glory on Saturday as only Finn McCool was scratched on Thursday morning, leaving a field of 19 to go to post.

It is the biggest field since Kris Kin beat 19 rivals in 2003, and reflects the open nature of this season's Epsom Classic, with Cliffs Of Moher and Cracksman 4-1 joint-favourites in most lists.

Of O'Brien's runners, Ryan Moore has elected to partner Cliffs Of Moher, with the trainer's son Donnacha on Venice Beach. Colm O'Donoghue is on Douglas Macarthur while Seamie Heffernan is aboard Capri.

Wings Of Eagles will be ridden by Padraig Beggy and The Anvil is the mount of Ana O'Brien, the trainer's daughter.

The two market leaders have been drawn in relatively close proximity, with Cracksman in stall seven, while Cliffs Of Moher is in stall 13.

Another O'Brien runner, Douglas Macarthur, has stall 19, while impressive Newbury maiden winner Dubai Thunder will be right on the other side in stall one.

Rank outsider Diore Lia, whose participation has caused such controversy, has been drawn in stall 17, with Benbatl (16) and Glencadam Glory (18) on either side

I see the owner of Diore Lia, 1000/1, has had an about turn to remain in the Derby. Following the BHA saga, Paddy Pilley now rides Diore Lia.
