Simple and clear.
Rules are rules. Races that have the surface changed bets become null and void. Fixed odds bets to be particular. I took quads with races 7,8,9,10 all i now have is a straight bet on the horse in race 7.
Phoned to cancel some exotics as they still stand and no problem.
your answer good to soft. you now have a double as race 10 excluded

WSB didn't think to do that. Surface change and the ticket carries on. Gutted as a fool could tell you secret captain doesn't act on the grass.

Please read the rules carefully
world sports betting clearly mentioned on their site that ALL bets will stand
if you want to cancel/void the bet you must contact them before 10 minutes to the start
punters had enough time to determine if they wanted to cancel /void or not
let's be fair and not bash the bookmakers for nothing

Not bashing anyone here pal. Did not see any such notification, everywhere I've bet in the past have ruled such null and void. Not meaning to piss on anyone's batteries. Theyre a top class betting platform, best I've used to be honest. For my negligent presumption il gladly accept the loss. Would have been nice to receive an email stating such though.

Colin if i was you i would be taking that to the gambling board as that is against the rules.
As per KZN Gambling rules:
Change of venue or track
20. Where the venue of a race or track is changed from that originally advertised, the
race shall be deemed to be abandoned for the purposes of all betting thereon and bets
shall be treated as described in rule 19 mutatis mutandis.

Not worth the fight for a couple hundred, WSB management contacted me today after filing a complaint. I was negligent in not seeing their notification saying one must manually cancel. I was on the site and should have seen the message and thus rectified. However do I agree, no I don't but had it been a winning bet I'm sure a lot of people would have claimed happily. Can't please everyone I suppose. But for the avid punter a surface change is of material importance and my opinion should be voided.
