Should have known that would pop up considering past discussions around 'value' and 'perceived value'.
In my opinion there is no value in punting a 2yr old on the kimberley track at 4/10.... where there is any amount of possible improvement for the other runners, as well as newcomers to the Flamingo track. Add to this the relatively unexposed form....{shrug}
I actually took some 16/1 on Iron Maiden.

I think Talk Wrench will win today. Likes the surface and the blinkers over this distance will likely help as i get the feeling he will need further.

8 years 4 weeks agowouldnt know dont have a book for flamingo but hes highly successful at punting having the same stake on a horse he percieves as value whether its 5 to 10 or 10 to 1chicken n chips wrote:pirates wrote: my mate who prices up made it a 1 to 8 shot and has climbed into the horse at 5 to 10

it's not about the ability of the horse only
one must consider the strength of th race
horses doesn't have to beat Frankel it must just beat what's in the race

Colour Vision finished well her race off nicely over 1400m, draws well and hopefully can hold that form over the extra distance. Did run well over 1600m at turffontein earlier in career so this d should be fine.

it appears that this horse has had a number of runs at Kimberley and has still not won
Stable have 3 others so i have gone with Iron Maiden at 25/1 as you never know. Most prob i will once again have egg on my face but you cant win a nice amount without sticking your neck out.

You can't win much if you back short prices and i prefer finding a nicer price. That said there isn't much in the field and TW will likely win. My bet today is Colour Vision.
