My best July was in 1979. I was a student, and 4 of us decided to go down for the July. We stayed in a tent at the Police beach at Port Edward. Day before the July we went to Durban, gambled at the fun park on the beach, the red, white and blue table, where you role a ball and it falls into a colour. As students we suiped wherever we could. In a bar just opposite the funpark, a journalist put us onto Over the Air. We specifically went down to punt Beau Art, but the guy was so convincing that we changed to his choice. We also played swingers and dupla's with the two horses. Over the Air won, we got 12/1, and R3000 between 4 students,in 1979, you could imagine the week long babbies we had.
