"Group" RESULTS - 'Afternoon' Monday 16th June Workings..
17 years 4 days ago
Afternoon,
This afternoon completed and went as follows..
The 1st runner we wanted 2.7 and with being around 2.52/54 on arrival, we had a lay at 2.54 max. There was then a non runner and 10.3% reduction, so now we wanted a lay price of 2.52 to make the full lay back up. The price was there and shorter and so we were back on. There was then another withdrawal and further 2.6% reduction, so now we wanted a lay price of 2.48 to make the full lay back up. Again the price was much shorter and so we were finally all on at around 2.48 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result......
The 2nd runner we wanted 3.3, but a non runner and 4.3% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 3.2. The price was around 2.5 on arrival and so well supported and we had a lay at around 2.5. The lay went and won, so gamble landed and the way it goes. Traders did get their trade back prices in running and so got away with it...
The 3rd runner we wanted 1.7 and with being around 1.74 on arrival and then dropping down to us and beyond, we had a lay at 1.7 max. The lay went and won, so the way it goes....
The 4th runner was a non runner and so on to the next runner...
The 5th and final runner we wanted 2.0 and with drifting to around 2.1 on arrival and only getting bigger, race to race players had to avoid the race. The runner went and won, so a good leave.......
WELL PLAYED/BATTLED..........(3 from the 4 (75%) went and won (1 Nr) and so another very tough session, but we played it very well)
'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them)............They started their strategy/target on the 1st runner and after a good start they then got into an all familiar battle. They ended up conceding a tiny 0.25 of a target which is very good with 75% winners, but it's still so tough to get any sort of run going at present..
'Bank building' strategy/target players had their 1st lay (the 1st runner) at 2.48 max and a good result see them win a chunk of their targets.......They then had their 2nd lay (the 2nd runner) at 2.5, but a poor result see them give a chunk back............Then came their 3rd lay (the 3rd runner) at 1.7 and another poor result see them go behind.........That's where they ended it, so they concede a tiny 0.25 - 0.4 of a target, which isn't at all bad with 3 winning from the 4 runners...
Bank builder 4 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100

Total bank now £417
3rd lay £208 to win the £83 needed @ 1.7 max. Result negative. Lose £58
Total bank now £359

Bank builder 5 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100
1st lay £80 to win as much of the £100 target @ 2.48 max. Result positive. Win £54
Total bank now £454
2nd lay £113 to win the remaining £46 @ 2.5. Result negative. Lose £68
Total bank now £386
3rd lay £128 to recoup the £14 @ 1.7 max. Result negative. Lose £10
Total bank now £376
That's where it ended.
Overall result. Concede 0.25 of a target.

Traders had to concede a little on the 3rd runner at 1.7 max, but all others see them win a bit, or break level and so they concede a tiny bit, but no complaints with 75% winners...
So another tough session, but we played it well ad got away with it really. We need a good run of profits now and so let's hope the favourite's relent a little. peak soon guys and well played..
Marc.

Morning,
This afternoon's workings as follows..
2.30 Sedgefield. SIMARIAN (2.52)
Our price 2/1 (3.1) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 2.7 or under. *Please note that more emphasis has had to go on the early markets for clues*
2.45 Carlisle. FAVOURITE GIRL (3.5)
Our price 13/5 (3.6) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 3.3 or under we'll go in for a lay. *Please note that a 'little' more emphasis has gone on the early markets for clues*
4.00 Sedgefield. CLASSIC MOON (1.
Our price Evens (2.0) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 1.7 or under we'll go in for a lay. *Traders be aware, that although he can race a few ways, it wouldn't be any surprise to see a prominent display this afternoon*
4.15 Carlisle. DEEP WINTER (3.5)
Our price 11/4 (3.75) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 3.45 or under we'll go in for a lay.
5.15 Carlisle. DIRECTAS DIGGER (2.16)
Our price 13/10 (2.3) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.0 or under we'll go in for a lay.
All the races were priced up with non runners taken into account up until 09.32am.
That's what we have to work around for this afternoon then. Just the five and so naturally no room at all for error early, so tricky, but at the same time no reason for us not to go into battle either. Discipline to the maximum and take advantage of any prices that come our way. Good luck and speak soon with this evening's workings.
Marc.
