Another cracking race in store. Would have thought Trip to Heaven would be hard to beat but not having a run since the Cape Flying Championship might find him out especially over the 1000m.
Carry On Alice made a lovely return to the track disposing of her field in nothing more than an exercise gallop. She has an excellent record on Champions Day, winning the SA Nursery at 2, Runner up of the Computaform Sprint at 3, and winner of the Computaform Sprint at 4. She looks the one to beat here.
Brutal Force does look exceptional value at 14/10 a place. I would be very surprised if he didn't run into the first 4.
Like Mac, for me this is the race of the day.

Nice field and agree likely to be the most exciting race of the day.
Carry on Alice hard to beat, what a horse she is!
Would have given Brutal force a big chance to upset ,but bit worried he wasn't striding out when winning last. Also if was drawn on outside with a lot of the big runners, his ability to fight out a finish may have helped. He is drawn right the other side and likely will beat his nearest rival but get caught out by those further away.
Trip to Heaven was phenomenal in his last few so can't write him off here.
Rafeef is an interesting one ..no idea how good he is over this but he is running so I'm guessing they think he has a chance.
All in all will be worth having a flutter if you fancy something as it doesn't take much to go amiss for the favourites to get beat over this course.
