I'm glad racing is on today for the people that make a living from it. All the best to Ziets and the other trainers.

Most horses will be in need of a run today after heavy rains this past week and because of cancelled meetings that will have a massive effect on most runners today. Hoping for the best

i dont buy into this notion that horses lose fitness by missing work for 10 days to 2 weeks ..it all depends when they last had a race and also what there program was going into their last race..they cant lose fitness in 2 weeks and for many in kimberly who have more racing than i have had breakfasts the time off can actually benefit them ..abashiris greatest ever victory was in the classic and his prep leading in he missed up to 10 days of work due to a foot issue but he had won the guineas just 4 weeks earlier so he was top fit already..listening to mr lunn yday he said of his 2yo winner that he had done very little in between races so each and every horse is different ...

Never wise to risk the Milk Money at this venue but I suppose a tiny e/w on ROYAL MASTER can't hurt.. His last 3 wins have come when he carries under 52kg - today 48kg (appie rides that weight)
20-1 and 220/100 a 4 place HW.
ELUSIVE FREEDOM wins if he takes to surface..
RED HOT RUSSIAN another desert debutant - Russian Sage horse do well on this surface and blinker should help...
Seems like centuries ago since the Vaal sand closed and in 2015 KING OF MAGIC ran his last place at that venue...I'd include just on that...
BAHAMA MAMA should do well in the 9th from that draw and put up a good run on sand debut last time.
Best bet for me is small places ROYAL MASTER and min wins... followed by keeping your money in your pocket and waiting for meetings later in the week as some of these horses may think they are on holiday when they don't race every week
