"Group" RESULTS - 'Evening' Monday 9th June Workings..

Evening,

This evening completed and went as follows...

The 1st runner we wanted 1.8 and with being around 2.02 on arrival and not coming down to us at all at any stage, we all had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten and so a case of 'one that got away in hindsight'...

The 2nd runner we wanted 2.32, but a non runner and 5.9% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.24. The price was around 2.52 on arrival and never came down to our lay price at any stage, so another race to avoid for all. The runner went and won, so a good leave this time...

The 3rd runner we wanted 2.1 and with being around 2.18 on arrival and then coming down to us and beyond, we had a lay at 2.1 max. The lay went and won, so the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it...

The 4th runner we wanted 2.1 and with drifting to around 2.36 on arrival and only getting bigger, race to race players had to avoid the race. The runner came in 2nd after a close battle and finish, so the drift beat race to racers to the punch. Grr! Early traders happy though......

The 5th runner we wanted 3.3 and with getting around 3.05 on arrival and shorter, we had a lay at 3.05 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result.........

The 6th and final runner we wanted 3.2 and with being around 2.98 on arrival, we had a lay at around 2.98. The lay was beaten and so a good result......

WELL PLAYED/BATTLED.............(2 from the first 3 (66.66%) went and won - and so a tough start, but we battled well to either win a bit, or break level)

'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) had no play again with the first two runners being no bets, so they keep their powder dry for tomorrow..

'Bank building' strategy/target players see 4 runner builders get some play and they had their 1st lay (the 3rd runner) at 2.1 max. The lay went and won and so they went behind early.....They then had their 2nd lay (the 5th runner) at 3.05 max and a good result see them claw a chunk back.........Then came their 3rd and final lay (the 6th runner) at 2.98 and a good result see them break lever. So levels they finish..

Bank builder 4 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100

1st lay £100 to win as much of the £100 target @ 2.1 max. Result negative. Lose £100

Total bank now £300

2nd lay £100 to recoup as much of the £100 @ 3.05 max. Result positive. Win £48

Total bank now £348

3rd lay £174 to recoup the £52 @ 2.98. Result positive. Win £52

Total bank now £400

Overall result. Level.

Traders either won or broke level on all their trades and so well played guys..

So no play for 5 runner builders and rollers and they'll be glad of that with those early winners. 4 runner builders broke level after a tough start and so they'll settle for that. Speak in the morning..

Afternoon,

The workings for this evening's racing then as follows..

6.50 Pontefract. MAID FOR MUSIC (2.02)

Our price 11/10 (2.1) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 1.8 or under we'll go in for a lay. *Please note that more emphasis has had to go on the early markets for clues concerning this race*

7.00 Windsor. AN SCANIBH (2.64)

Our price 13/8 (2.625) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.32 or under we'll go in for a lay.

7.30 Windsor. VALRHONA (2.28)

Our price 7/5 (2.4) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.1 or under we'll go in for a lay.

7.50 Pontefract. MISSIONER (2.18)

Our price 7/5 (2.4) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.1 or under we'll go in for a lay. *Traders be aware that he has a tendency to race very prominently in his races*

8.00 Windsor. MULLEIN (3.3)

Our price 13/5 (3.6) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.3 or under. *Traders be aware, that although she's lightly raced she has shown she can go from the front and no surprise to see her do so again this evening, despite the new trip*

8.20 Pontefract. FONDLED (3.15)

Our price 5/2 (3.5) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.2 or under.

All the races were priced up with non runners taken into account up until 15.32pm.

That's our work for this evening then. Never easy, especially with a limited amount to work with, but we do have enough within our armoury to warrant going into battle, so with discipline to the maximum and taking advantage of any prices that come our way, we'll hope that the value holds up. Good luck and speak soon.
