Hearing the sad news that Big PE Owner Peter Fenix passed away...

He had some brilliant days in racing , Including a Met win with La Fabulous and more recently the brilliant sprinter Copper Parade

Rest in Peace Mr Fenix. Fond memories of him has a school boy. He also owned Bold Thatch who made its debut in PE like La Fabulous but also won a Grade 1 the Scotsville Gilbeys 1200m feature race.

Oh no this is very sad news. I knew Peter for 35 years and he handled some of my financial interests until I retired. I always looked forward to our interaction because we would spend 80% of the time discussing racing and 20% on business. He was a proper gentleman who had a wicked sense of humour. My condolences to his family and friends.
