We still have the OLD dual view decoder, unfortunately it can take 20mins to reboot itself (sometimes twice a day), on it's last legs.

Yip - I also had one of those old SD's and experienced the same .... so I finally bit the bullet and did an 'upgrade' - as I said for me a definite improvement - looks like the user experience is influenced by the expertise of the installer

Another thing to remember is that if you take your Explora with on holiday, is to check whether the establishment is equipped with a 'smart LNB' on their dish(es) - if not, the Explora won't work - so you need to take a plain HD decoder - and if your HD decoder is set up as the 'xtra-view' decoder, you need Multichoice (not sure if one can do it via Self Service) to 'switch' the HD decoder to be your 'primary' for the period you are using it at your holiday destination .... otherwise you will end up (as happened to me) having to rent a HD decoder at your holiday destination :huh:
