Whilst perusing the reasons for REAL PRINCESS scratching on Saturday for Bob, the following caught my eye in the applicable Stipes Report for the day:

Farriers on duty : Mr Ford Wallace
Mr Joey Johnson (Rule 48.3 applied)
Specimen Collectors on duty : Mr Darren Diederichs & Ms Samantha-Jayne Hird (Cole)
Mr Sivuyile Jeje (Trainee – Rule 48.3 applied)

48.3 In an emergency, the SB, may appoint a suitable individual to act in any of the capacities
referred to in RULES 48.1 and 48.2 for a specific RACE MEETING. Such individual will not
require a licence for that meeting but, before commencing such duties, shall agree to be and
shall be bound by the CONSTITUTION and the RULES. The cost of such appointment may
be recovered from the RACING OPERATOR concerned.

Festive season leave is a real emergency it seems
