8 years 7 months agoI agree they are a good option .......my only reservation is they seem to have too many bet options on 1 server as navigation is VERY slow.......particularly if taking multiple soccer bets ,for instance!naresh wrote:Solotrama wrote:Muhtiman wrote: .....now I see that someone has come in and cleaned up taking yesterdays fixtures off the today's results portal.....they are not taking any chances in the site going down later.....

Muhti do you still punt with tab ? why?
There is only one Bookmaker, Betxchange, that I know off that has only a limit for the Pick 6 and with no hidden terms and conditions for any other Open Bet type. Every other Bookmaker has T&C's with restrictions. Thread cautiously when playing the Open Bet with Bookmakers.

Yip, their sports betting is cumbersome to take a multiple. If they, Betxchange , for horseracing can only not clear your selections after you placed an Open Bet, it will be fantastic, as I structure all my PA's and Jackpots. The only time I do play a Pick 6 is if I am the Tote itself, which is on course July Day or at the J&B Met.
Another thing about Betxchange you can rest assured if your horse drifts out and you placed your bet earlier, you will get the longer odds up to R3000 less tax.

Solo ,I know the question wasn't aimed at me but applies!!
My reason is ,that I believe the take-out of the tote is excessive because the expenses in the business model is too high and I believe that stakeholders should demand an independant analysis thereof(it is in their interests)
However ,at least a large portion of that take-out goes back to fund horseracing. If bookmakers pay you an identical dividend to the tote ,it is a dividend based on the "net of take-out pool" but the take-out portion is pocketed rather than reinvested.
That is why I take all my win/place bets at fixed price odds but prefer to use the tote for all pool type bets.
I just wish that the tote would listen to their own slogan when managing the efficiency of their system- NO(working) TAB,No SA HORSERACING
Rob the tote can't even defend their OWN product in court . They can't prove that it's their pools that generate the product . I mean it's so simple ....... If they had done that the totepools would be a lot bigger and ore attractive .
Then there is their service , it's non existent.
I play the open bet because it suits my pocket . hollywood's platform is very good and their 2mil limit (p6 pools hardly ever reach this figure ) is more than sufficient .
If i spend say R1000 on the tote the tote pockets +- R250 straight away(without risking any liability) . The tote does NOT VALUE its clients .
