Race 1 - Greenflashsunset

Have taken 22/10. Lovely first run, looked to be the possible winner but probably just got tired. This 7 furlong will be much better being a half brother to Legislate. Candid looks the main danger here along with the Woodruff first timer. Interesting race.

Time to Put The Berries. Back against maiden company, only the race will tell whether the three year old, Colorado Rose, will stay, so I'm prepared to take her on.

R4, Jingle Belle must be a runner off 49.5kgs, especially since she receives an additional 2.5kgs from Northern Belle for a 0.05 of a length beating last time they met.

Despite the drift in R6, Fromafar should beat this field. She is slung in here and should come home without any fuss.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Race 1 – PENTICON (8): Is scratched.

Race 2 – BORDER CONTROL (4): Will need the run.

Race 2 – DOUBLE-EDGED SWORD (5): Will need the experience.

LUCINDA WOODRUFF ON BEHALF OF GEOFF WOODRUFF:
Race 1 – PLANO (9): He is a smart colt showing nice work at home but may be a bit green.

VAUGHAN MARSHALL:
Race 3 – MUFFIN (9): Has not shown much speed at home so I am trying her over this distance.Horse Racing

GLEN KOTZEN:
Race 7 – ISLAND MUSIC (9): Is drawn 11/11 and from that draw it will be very hard to be competitive – she will also be green and need the run.

every single comment about each horse is a negative one. Why do they bother? rather just give the normal no comment.

trainers book of excuses :

horse COULD be green

Handicapper gave the horse HIGH merit rating

will need further

couldn't win from that draw

what was the jockey doing so far back (next run same jockey )

trainers bitch and moan about high merit ratings but when they pulling the coup its perfectly fine

Race 1: Candid is selected to beat Greenflashsunset- both impressed on debut, but only the race will tell which has come on the most. Lauren of Rochelle should also be competitive.
Race 2: Nightingale Lane looks the best of the raced runners, but the form is a bit thin, so no confidence.
Race 3:Colorado Rose shoud be able to beat the 4yos here.
Race 4:Jingle Belle can go in again in an open contest.
Race 5: Imperial Dancer looks a value ew bet, but quite a few with chances. Strathdon has the most scope for improvement.
Race 6: Fromafar is weighted to win, but returns from a break. We have Silvan Star running- she won a nice race last time, and I fancy her to step up to win this, although I would hav prefered 1600m. There are some smart 3yos, but they have a tough task against the older fillies.
Race 7: Moonsaballoon and Whispering Light have solid form. Dawn Rising went close last time and must again be respected. We have Bon Bon running, and she has a good chance of winning after a very nice debut. Prancing should also improve after a useful debut.
