This is a shocking situation. Racing in SA is truly under pressure.

Cheers
They have notices in their shops offering refunds on all straight bets if your horse loses on an objection,so it's policy Dave.

Don't hold your breath, these things always get covered up and nothing much changes

Unfortunately the broom is probably already at the carpet in enquiry room...really mind boggling that something as blatant as what happened yesterday can happen ...hopefully punters and racing fans can get the true reasons for objection...

Really entertaining listening to all the comments...and most of them are justified...many punters were ROBBED and lost, but we, and I'm talking about us whiteys, are great at complaining and moaning but we don't take action....in this case why don't the owners and trainers stand together and withdraw their horses from the next Turffontein race meeting making it null and void...this is one way of making a stand against incompetent racing officials....it will get media coverage and get answers.....I know it will inconvenience many but something drastic has to be done....you may have other ideas about how to better go about this, but we won't get anywhere just complaining......ACTION has to take place......

I was at T in the Elevation room and there was, to say the least, utter disbelief amongst the numerous trainers, owners, punters a) when the grounds for the objections were announced b) when the second part of the objection was upheld c) when the "chief stipe" " justified" the decision.
The pressure is on from many fronts.

Why is any of that necessary? These rules, and the people interpreting them, are ALL there by authority of the same owners and trainers discretion. Instead of them withdrawing there horses, they can change the rules of the rules of how to apply the rules. You make proposals and vote and the majority wins.
You have to break the same apathy to boycott as to start intelligent change.
Why fuck around toy-toying when you are in charge?

Unfortunately intelligent change doesn't work in Africa...but boycotts do, here in Africa and the rest of the world....I'm all for your option, but when Plan A doesn't work, you need to try plan B...
