"Group" RESULTS - 'Afternoon' Monday 2nd June Workings..

Afternoon,
This afternoon completed and went as follows...
The 1st runner we wanted 2.7, and with being around 3.3 on arrival and then tumbling down to us, we had a lay at 2.7. The lay was beaten and so a good result....
The 2nd runner we wanted 2.4, and with being around 2.7 on arrival and then tumbling down to us and beyond under good support, we had a lay at 2.4 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result........
The 3rd runner we wanted 3.3 and with drifting to around 3.4 on arrival and only getting bigger, race to race players had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten after a close finish, so the drift beat race to racers to the punch. Grr! Early traders happy though........
The 4th runner we wanted 2.7 and with being around 2.94 on arrival and not coming down to our lay price at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten and so 'one that got away in hindsight'.....
The 5th runner we wanted 2.7 and with being around 3.0 on arrival and then dropping down to us and beyond, we had a lay at 2.7 max. The price then went back the other way and out to our own price of 3.0 and above, so a chance for traders (builders hit and walked) to have a 'free' lay before the race*. The lay/trade went and won a photo finish, so the way it goes, but no damage done with only traders playing now and them getting away with it....
The 6th runner we wanted 1.7, and with being around 1.66 on arrival, we had a lay at around 1.66. The lay looked beat, but the comical scenes as the lay got back up to win a close finish! You have to see this finish if you haven't seen it. So the way it goes, but traders very easily getting their trade back prices in running, so got away with it...
The 7th runner we wanted 3.3 and with being 2.74 on arrival, we had a lay at 2.74. The race is over 25 minutes away and all strategy play completed with just a tiny bit of trading left on offer, so I'm leaving it there to chill out a bit before this evening's play. Good luck traders with these remaining runners..
WELL PLAYED...
'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them)...........They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner and hit their targets on their 2nd lay (the 2nd runner).......They then ran out of enough potential lays to start another, so end the session winning 1 target.....
'Bank building' strategy/target players had their 1st lay (the 1st runner) at 2.7, and a good result see them win a chunk of their targets.....They then had their 2nd lay (the 2nd runner) at 2.4 max, and a good result see them hit their targets...

2.15 Carlisle. FARAWAY SOUND (2.86)
Our price 17/10 (2.7) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.4 or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Traders be aware that he has a tendency to lead, or race very prominently in his races*
2.30 Leicester. DOUBTFUL SOUND (3.5)
Our price 13/5 (3.6) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 3.3 or under, we'll go in for a lay.
3.15 Carlisle. MIDNIGHT MYSTIQUE (2.94)
Our price 2/1 (3.0) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.7 or under, we'll go in for a lay.

All races have been priced up with non runners taken into account, up until 09:46am.
That's what we're faced with this afternoon then. Never easy, especially with that unexposed nature leaving us vulnerable to big drifts and gambles, plus needing plenty of fluctuation in the markets to determine any bets etc, but overall we have enough about us to warrant going into battle, so that's what we'll do. Discipline to the maximum and take advantage of any prices that come our way. Good luck and speak soon with this evening's workings.

That's what we're faced with this afternoon then.
