Big Si in the 8th must be a runner. A look at how they've priced up, Hejira (28/10), Dynamic Force (3/1 and drifting), and then Big Si (11/2). On paper it should be impossible for Dynamic Force to finish ahead of Big Si this time round, considering the swing in the weights for a 0.05 length beating the last time they met, and that was a 2.5kg pull in Big Si's favour.

Hejira beat a very weak field when breaking out the maiden ranks last time, and being a 6 year old it's hard to visualise much more improvement. Add to that, this is it's handicap debut which is never easy to predict, certainly not a 28/10 shot in my book - I could be wrong, but I'm prepared to take him on.

Big Si on the other hand has performed okay against stronger company and off that weight of 54.0kgs should be very competitive. If he gets away on terms, he will be the one to beat, so 11/2 looks on the big side to me.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Anime should win by lengths..good speed should take to the poly and ran behind not 1..but 2 gold cup day feature winners.bring on the 5/2...easy money.should have been 2/10

Tread carefully in race 5, Nala could be a lot better than the 72 rating it has. Remember the ratings were changed a few months ago. Being a year older, I would row in with Nala. Has proven she can win after a break, just as speedy if not speedier, enjoys the benefit of a better draw, but more important, check their respective winning times bearing in mind the weight each carried.

I am with you on Nala, Bayern. Been waiting for this one since shedding her maiden tag. Her time that day was almost half a second quicker than Winter Darling. She won as she liked and Winter Darling was pushed all the way. She was well supported on both starts and looks to have a few problems looking at the breaks. Anime is also lightly raced and improving and the race to me looks to be between these two lightly raced fillies.

Phantom rock looks a lively contender in the 1st. Her speed should easily nagate the bad draw. Shr has a number of direct winners out of the formline of her last run when just runnning out of steam in the last 75meters or so.

Nala looks like another decent bet. She is extremly well bred and is much better weighted being 4years old compared to the talented anime who must carry a very high weight.

Mambo looks like an armchair ride for Anton Marcus.

Jason Argo looks another decent bet on the card with the booking of Anthony Delpech. I do like a roughie at bigger odds to run in called yellow submarine who has blinkers fitted tomrw.

Race 2: We have White Rose running. We are expecting a big run from her and she is a worthy favorite, and should be my first winner of the new season. She has been working well, and will enjoy the extra 200m. Joy to Joy is the obvious danger. There are a couple of fair older fillies to beat, headed by Williwgrange, but she has a poor draw and the newly turned 3yos look classier. Amongst the first timers, the well bred Silver Causeway stands out.
