Feature Race as part of Alternate Centre's card

Any reason this is done apart from the forced sense of importance accorded to said race?

I for one do not enjoy it; I play the alternate centre if I want to, and to spread my eggs a bit, so to speak, not having to worry about one race taking me out of everything. And lest we forget, look how spectacularly it failed today, resulting in Kenilworth having a 5 leg p6..

Are you talking about Kenilworth? Was that meeting always not scheduled?

I am referring to for example, placing Greyville's feature race as part of the race programme for the alternate centre, Kenilworth in this case.

Thor you absolutely correct...operators don't realise punters dislike the idea of the feature race for example the Greyville Gold Cup feature race being incorporated into the Kenilworth race programme.

Feature races do overlap into other province meetings

Same happens for July main race / Gold Cup as well as Summer Cup

Maybe a good thing but i doubt everyone agrees
