Thanks very much clanners, LEGEND still a bit green today but a very nice win, very happy. Couldn't be there today being father's day but very chuffed. Well done to Peter as well, promising win. Very happy for Craig, owner and trainer, take home the lotsky, well done bud.

I just watched a replay of the oaks......
The people who think van nickel rode a bad race.....what exactly should he have done differently?????

I think they thouht he kept her too far back of a slow pace

Chris he should of used his head like Delpech did on the Kannemeyer horse in one of the later races.Slow pace so he went around the field and that move won him the race.

I understand but you can only do that if you have that type of horse....a hardy horse that you can place anywhere and just push buttons.....she may not be that type.
She wasn't rank, she wasn't uncomfortable, she just didn't get the race to suit her.
I have her in my CTC but sometimes you just have to admit nothing could have been done
