Great pic
the closer you get though the more shyte the state of the grass becomes apparent.

It is a good view of the course (Photography wise) and surrounding city (Not a view from Greyville racecourse as implied), but fails to mask the fact that the actual course is shit and couldn't hold a candle to Clairwood Park that was shut down.

Can any of you see the horse going through the 300m mark on the grass track, you can't?, look towards the standside rail, that's the July winner.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

DOES anyone have an idea of the cost of the airshow ? BOB?
How much did it cost to close Royal Durban golf course for the day?

Any feedback yet Bob?
I am still confused as to why you would go to great expense to put on an Air Show for a horse racing event??? Apparently Royal Durban was paid R200 000 to close their golf course for the day....what an absolute waste of money.Even if Royal could get 120 rounds through at a generous average of R250 per round on the day they would make R30 000. Who decided that it was worth R200 000?

To stop all the rubbish written I have just called and asked. GC had nothing to do with the show except to hire out the venue and to have their food and drink outlets open for the show organizers. Did not cost GC anything. They hoped that some of the crowd would stay on for the racing. That is all.
